Why installing a shortcut on Android doesn't work

You can create a shortcut on the homescreen but you can't install it to be shown in the app drawer.

On Chrome both opinions work fine.

Two feature requests that would make Bitwarden much better. (especially on Android)

  1. Separate Username and Email fields

Currently, the login item has a single field that is generally used for either a username or an email address. It would be much more useful to have two separate fields:

Username

Email

This would be especially helpful for websites where an account has both a username and an email address, but only one of them is used for login. It would also make account information much more organized.

  1. Full-text search — on Android (I know it works on Web)

I would really like to see a true global/full-text search across the entire vault.

For example, Bitwarden should be able to search inside:

The Notes field of Login items

The content of Secure Notes

Other relevant text fields within vault items

This is particularly important on Android, where quickly finding information from the vault is extremely useful. If I remember a piece of information that I stored inside a note but don't remember the name of the vault item, I should be able to simply search for that information and have Bitwarden find it.

Feature Suggestion: Add "Use PIN" option directly on the biometric unlock screen

Hi,

I'd like to suggest a small UX improvement. Currently, when Bitwarden's biometric prompt appears, it only shows the app name, fingerprint icon, and "Cancel" button. If you want to use your PIN instead, you have to cancel the biometric dialog first, then a separate screen appears for PIN entry.

Other password managers, like Proton Pass, include a "Use PIN" link directly on the same biometric prompt screen, so users can switch to PIN instantly without an extra step.

YouTube keeps spamming me with notifications for subscribed channels set to "Personalized" – how to fix or block this default?

I'm having a really frustrating issue with YouTube notifications recently.

So By default and as you guys know, whenever I subscribe to any channel, YouTube sets the notification preference for that channel to "Personalized" instead of "None". Because of this, if I watch a channel frequently, YouTube starts constantly sending me upload notifications for it, even though I never clicked the bell icon to turn on "All" notifications.

I already have "Recommended videos" turned OFF in my global account settings, but YouTube still considers these "Subscribed Channel Updates" and keeps pushing them.

I have never faced this issue before! I used to receive Notifications only from Channels I choosed to receive all notifications.

The only workaround right now is manually going through my subscription list to change every single channel from "Personalized" to "None", or clicking "None" every time I subscribe to a new channel.

Is there any global setting or workaround to stop YouTube from defaulting new/existing subscriptions to "Personalized"? Or a way to force the default notification state for all subscriptions to be "None" unless I explicitly turn on the bell?

Thanks in advance!

Do you use email masking/aliasing services for sensitive accounts like password managers?

My main question: is it safe/advisable to use a masked email address for critical accounts like a password manager, or should that always be tied to your real email?

J Specifically curious about DuckDuckGo's Email Protection, anyone using it long-term? How reliable has it been? Any horror stories about losing access or delayed emails?

The concern I keep coming back to is what if the masking service goes down! or What if DDG stop this feature...
