I can't wait for...

...your fuckin fireworks to be fully illegal or SO expensive. My uncle has PTSD, my dogs are shaking even with the meds and thundershirts. The outdoor cats are huddled between my neighbors garage, and my own. My indoor cats are hissing or totally MIA in the house.

Last year my friend with her NEWBORN got no sleep for almost 2 days (before getting a hotel room in downtown) cause you fucks can't just take fireworks for a couple short hours. Today I heard them start around noon. Are you serious?

We have drones now, drone shows are so much cooler and look so much better. We are beyond fireworks and the hazards and psychological damage they cause. Every year, I'm seeing more and more people becoming so sick of it all. And especially when they're in tight residential areas (Tuxedo Park does NOT need a firework show, or 10)

I hope the rain comes and washes all your shit away.

Dress came in, now I need help with accessories!

Just pulled it out of the box, it fits great and I almost cried - I didn't even cry when I did a home try on 😅

It is technically a br*desmaids dress, BUT it was exactly what I wanted in a wedding dress and came in EXTREMELY under budget so double win!! (Revelry, if curious)

Now I'm looking for help with jewelry!

Pic 3 is what I absolutely despise, personally it feels like junior pr0m jewelry

Pics 4+5 are what I'm looking at, but I don't know if they suit the dress?

I'm open to suggestions. Looking at silver, lots of sparkle, and something to make me feel like an absolute PRINCESS. My original intention with the dress was very Princess Diaries, so I went with a fabric design that resembles the movie dress, with some adjustments that better suited my body type and personality.

Also considering belt substitutions, since the bow is removable.

Wedding in September, so I have time to look - I just like having things well in advance.

Explosion Sounds More Consistent?

So do we actually know where these sounds are coming from? It's getting really old, and I'd love for that shit to stop. I'm in Tuxedo Park and now it's all we hear but there aren't any fireworks to be seen? Am I blind and just don't see them? Typically I see all the fireworks from our house so I'm not convinced that's what it is 🥲 sounds exactly like the noises we have been dealing with at random intervals during morning, noon, and night the past week

Parking Pass

I'm looking into applying for a parking pass upgrade, and I'm curious why there are no options for Main Gate parking, or Lot 3P? I'm new to the parking of it all, I have been dropped off until this year and that coke lot is a mess

Update

About a month with the little guy - he's thriving!!! Had a small little eye infection that has cleared up almost completely (still wiping away some eye boogies, but he has healed up so well with vet ointment and eye drops)

He has graduated from sleeping in a large pet stroller, to his own "apartment" til he's big enough to roam freely. He's super active and playful, and I'm just so proud of my fiance and I for making this work in our very busy lives (actively planning a wedding, jobs, social lives)

Will add - saying "I can't, I have the kitten" has been my favorite excuse cause who is gonna be mad at me for cuddling an orphaned kitten???

He's healthier, eyes are opened (currently has a scratched eye, but vet gave us eye med, and baby did great as far as growth!!)

He's looking to be long-haired and ALSO APPARENTLY A BOY so his name is officially Whiskey (thanks to the person who suggested it!!!)

We also think he's gonna be a big cat. He's now drinking 15+ml and is just about a pound already! We've gotten him to a 4 hour feeding window and that is helping us get a full night of sleep when fiance and I trade off shifts! So excited for our little guy to be part of our family, and grateful for resources like Kitten Lady and local TNR folk. Also, grateful the job lets me bring him in on slow days and have him hang in the office while I work, so he doesn't have to miss any feedings. Super grateful as well to parents and friends who help watch and feed him during busy days at work. Little guy has a village 🫶

Tiny, hungry, and so so cozy. 5 days with her and we've realized we can actually survive on minimal sleep. Now that the fiance can get her to take the bottle from him, we are able to both get a good night of sleep and not be up every 2-3 hours. Tonight is my second night of good sleep since finding her🥲
