(Mortal Instruments) As a new reader for the series should I pick up the OG city of bones or 10th anniversary?

My mum got me into showing a keen interest the series after she watched the TV show and I wanted to surprise her and myself with the book for us to read together, we're both fantasy freaks and love epic action between. Just curious on which to pick up tomorrow morning? Thanks!

An oldie but a goodie, I'm gonna try Martian Successor Nadesico!

Been a fan of mecha... xenoblade, neon genesis evangelion, xenosaga, gundam (to some extent since I don't build 😭 and thought the anime looked nice!

The reviews say the ending was a bit rushed but the comedy is on par or close to The Slayers which I absolutely adore in the fantasy genre, it's my number one! Yuriko looks so adorable and I can't wait to see all the mechas and geek out over them!

What did you guys remember from it and how did you like it? Would you guys reccomend the DVDs or watch on YouTube as the publisher has hosted it up there?

As there's a discord for the older titles, would anyone be interested in joining a discord specializing in the new ones?

Just figured if anyone would like to join and have fun with the newerish titles in the series, maybe share art and your storiees. :)
