Hi all,

I’m planning a trip to London with my boyfriend and we’ve already booked it for November. The thing is, we’ve already booked our stay in a hotel near the LHR airport and i keep watching reels about how a bad choice will ruin your experience, so I’m asking to anyone who can brighten up, is it actually really worth it to find a nice spot to stay or would i have to pay for public transportation anyway and not see much of a difference in price?
I’ve heard things in London aren’t close, so we didn’t mind the cost of travel, we were gonna spend money on that anyway, so it didn’t matter to us to be located far from the city centre of London, but this reel confused me a bit… we can still book another place that’s more centralised and not spend so much in transportation… would that be a better option?

Apart from that, is there any other advice we should know so we don’t get scammed as tourists?

Llevo un año y algún que otro mes, entiendo que solo soy un número más y no llevo tanto tiempo como otros trabajadores que quizá tengan más valor en la empresa por antigüedad y conocimiento y que por ello puedan prescindir de mí y les dé más igual. Pero solicité una excedencia el día 30 del mes pasado, estamos a 9 y la pedí para el 1 de junio, es decir, con bastante antelación. Me dijeron que podía tardar 1 semana. Después, el departamento de RRHH me comentó que si no recibía respuesta de la sede que gestiona nuestra empresa, me iba igualmente, que dejara de trabajar como si me la hubiesen concedido, pero yo dudo de la legalidad de eso. Mi pareja me ha comentado que eso sería ilegal y que me despedirían por irme.

(Hace algo de tiempo que también pedí el cambio de categoría porque me correspondía y no me lo han cambiado, tampoco respetaron la fecha de antigüedad y tanto el contrato como en las nóminas aparecía mal entre otras cosas)

Así que pregunto por aquí si alguien pudiese ayudarme, ¿es ilegal? ¿Puedo salir mal parada? ¿depende del convenio o es algo general que todas las empresas deben cumplir? ¿Qué me aconsejáis hacer?
