An Essay on Insurrection

For some context, I've been playing EDH for about five years, mostly in Brackets 2–3. I discovered Insurrection almost by accident while browsing cards on forums and Scryfall. I was immediately impressed by the card's effect and added it to one of my decks right away.

From that point on, the card won me an incredible number of games, and I thought it was so good that I ended up including it in another deck as well. However, over time I started noticing that whenever I cast it, the other players' reaction was less "What an amazing win!" and more "Well... I guess that's how the game ends."

I realized that Insurrection can often win a game with almost no setup beyond reaching eight mana, which, in my experience, isn't particularly difficult in Brackets 2–3.

What puzzles me, though, is that I've never really seen any content creators talk about it. I've never seen discussions suggesting it should be considered a game-changer card, almost never recommanded on EDHREC, and I've almost never seen anyone else play it. The only exception was one player who added it to their deck after watching me win with it.

Eventually, I removed the card from my own decks because I now feel it's simply too powerful.

I'd really like to hear your thoughts, especially from players who mainly play in Brackets 2–3. What's your opinion of Insurrection? How do you react when an opponent wins with it? Do you think eight mana is a fair investment, or is it not much of a hurdle? Does it feel like an earned victory, or more like a stolen one?

Thanks!

Does Kharn the Betrayer and Pain for All works together?

I see the card recommanded on Edhrec but i'm not sure if it's work since Kharn do not take damages.
