My S23 Ultra developed 4 lines after exactly 2 years. What did you do to keep your phone line-free up to now?

To those users who have never experienced pink/green lines and have been using their phones for 3 years or more, what did you do to your phone?

It has been exactly 2 years since I purchased my S23 Ultra, and I suddenly got 4 lines on my display with no clear reason. My phone wasn't overheating when the lines appeared.

Here's my routine:

I usually charge my phone when it reaches around 1-5% and unplug it at around 95%. I don't charge it overnight.

I use an original ASUS ROG 2 adapter with an original Samsung cable. I do use Super Fast Charging.

Lately, I sometimes watch anime, scroll through TikTok/Facebook/Instagram, or play Clash of Clans while charging. I always use Wi-Fi and usually have a fan in front of me, although I can't really tell how hot the phone gets internally.

I play Clash of Clans almost daily, but usually for less than an hour. I also played Mobile Legends occasionally, but only for a short time.

I have never dropped my phone seriously, and I've never intentionally exposed it to water. I do sometimes bring it into the bathroom while showering just to listen to music, but the phone doesn't get wet.

I always updates. Unfortunately, I stopped updating after the lines appeared. The first line appeared about a week after that last updatee, so now I'm wondering if there's any connection.

My apps are mostly in Deep Sleep, and I use Light Performance mode, Adaptive Brightness, Adaptive Motion Smoothness, and Power Saving Mode.

I use a shockproof case and a matte screen protector.

And here's the weirdest part. The lines appeared progressively:

1st line: I was watching TikTok. (July 17)

2nd line: Less than 24 hours later, I was playing Clash of Clans while in front of a fan. (July 18)

3rd line: This one appeared while I was simply reading the diagnostic results at a Samsung Service Center. I was using mobile data, but the phone was not in a case and wasn't hot. The Samsung agent was actually there and witnessed the line appear. (July 21)

4th line: This one suddenly appeared later. I don't remember exactly what I was doing, but I think I was just watching something. (August 10)

Initially, all the lines were pink. Eventually, one of them turned green, so I now have 3 pink lines and 1 green line. (August 8)

The phone has never been abused, and I don't play heavy games for hours. That's why I'm really confused about what caused this.

For those who have been using their Samsung phones for 3+ years without getting pink/green lines, what do you do differently? Is there anything in my usage habits that I might be missing? I'm planning for a LCD replacement 🥲

Pink lines are real.

I am very disappointed and frustrated right now because I have always taken care of my Galaxy S23 Ultra like a baby.

I purchased this phone on August 5, 2024, and after almost two years of careful use, two pink lines suddenly appeared on the screen within less than 24 hours. I honestly don't know what caused it.

I have never used this phone to its full capacity because I was always worried about the green line issue. I even set it to Light Performance, kept most of my apps in Deep Sleeping, and used Wi-Fi whenever possible. If I had to use mobile data, I usually stayed in air-conditioned places to avoid overheating. I rarely play games, and I have never dropped, sat on, or physically damaged my phone.

Before buying this phone, my plan was to use it for at least five years, so I did everything I could to keep it in excellent condition but I still got this fucking lines.

I was one of the doubters before, but my advice to those who want to buy Scamsung is to first listen to the reviews and know the consequences. The lines are caused by Scamsung, not by user usage.

P.S. the dent you see in the video, I think, was caused by the hard case.

Greenline
