10x Pictures Samsung S23 Ultra

8.5

First photo with Scene detection.

Others are without scene detection.

Has it changed or degraded?

Does anyone have older 10x photos taken with an S23 Ultra?

Help me stop feeling like Im crazy. But my s21, even with a broken camera, takes WAY better photos than my 23 Ultra.

https://imgur.com/a/mv8AZhG (in case it doesnt link right)

But two shots at the same time. Not ideal conditions, at all, but the s21 takes what I think is great for the situation of shaded spot through a window. And the s23 ultra looks like my OG Galaxy S.

I literally have to tap my S21 pretty hard to get the lens to focus, and it still pulls ahead...

Bought S21 Ultra from best buy, s23 from back market. I cant imagine that has anything to do with it, but can cameras be swapped?

Settings I could change? Such a bummer to get the storage I wanted in exchange for a usable camera.

Thanks for any ideas.

My S23 Ultra developed 4 lines after exactly 2 years. What did you do to keep your phone line-free up to now?

To those users who have never experienced pink/green lines and have been using their phones for 3 years or more, what did you do to your phone?

It has been exactly 2 years since I purchased my S23 Ultra, and I suddenly got 4 lines on my display with no clear reason. My phone wasn't overheating when the lines appeared.

Here's my routine:

I usually charge my phone when it reaches around 1-5% and unplug it at around 95%. I don't charge it overnight.

I use an original ASUS ROG 2 adapter with an original Samsung cable. I do use Super Fast Charging.

Lately, I sometimes watch anime, scroll through TikTok/Facebook/Instagram, or play Clash of Clans while charging. I always use Wi-Fi and usually have a fan in front of me, although I can't really tell how hot the phone gets internally.

I play Clash of Clans almost daily, but usually for less than an hour. I also played Mobile Legends occasionally, but only for a short time.

I have never dropped my phone seriously, and I've never intentionally exposed it to water. I do sometimes bring it into the bathroom while showering just to listen to music, but the phone doesn't get wet.

I always updates. Unfortunately, I stopped updating after the lines appeared. The first line appeared about a week after that last updatee, so now I'm wondering if there's any connection.

My apps are mostly in Deep Sleep, and I use Light Performance mode, Adaptive Brightness, Adaptive Motion Smoothness, and Power Saving Mode.

I use a shockproof case and a matte screen protector.

And here's the weirdest part. The lines appeared progressively:

1st line: I was watching TikTok. (July 17)

2nd line: Less than 24 hours later, I was playing Clash of Clans while in front of a fan. (July 18)

3rd line: This one appeared while I was simply reading the diagnostic results at a Samsung Service Center. I was using mobile data, but the phone was not in a case and wasn't hot. The Samsung agent was actually there and witnessed the line appear. (July 21)

4th line: This one suddenly appeared later. I don't remember exactly what I was doing, but I think I was just watching something. (August 10)

Initially, all the lines were pink. Eventually, one of them turned green, so I now have 3 pink lines and 1 green line. (August 8)

The phone has never been abused, and I don't play heavy games for hours. That's why I'm really confused about what caused this.

For those who have been using their Samsung phones for 3+ years without getting pink/green lines, what do you do differently? Is there anything in my usage habits that I might be missing? I'm planning for a LCD replacement 🥲

Heating Issue

My S23U today suddenly started heating and is not going doing, even when kept idle after closing all the apps.

Idk is it's the latest or what. It was purchased in Nov 2024, so not even 2yrs completed.

The highest heat is at top left, opposite to the camera side.

Don't know what to do. It should cool down when kept idle!!! Been like this for 2 hours now..

Should I stay with my S23U even if I have my S23+3U

I recently just switched phones like in the title. I like to always have a backup phone incase the main one has a problem or anything else and for that when I was using the s23u I had the s10+10 fe. The thing is that I want a backup phone that I can unlock the bootloader and my s23u is on the latest patch of one ui 8. I'm wondering if it's still worth waiting for someone to find a way to unlock the bootloader on one ui 8 or should I just sell it and keep the s10+10fe?

Last 3 Yrs Of Using S23 ULTRA

I have been using the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra since launch day. I have installed the latest version and am still getting decent 🔋 life. However, 📸 performance has degraded slightly and isn't capturing images as well as it used to. Otherwise, network strength and internet speed are performing well. Provided future updates don't tamper with performance, I plan to use it for another one to two years.

Moisture Warning Aftermath: Will Not Charge If It Detects Super Fast Charging?

Hello, and thank you for reading my post.

My issue I think is very unique soo I decided to make this post.

3 days ago, I dropped my phone in the sink. I've had the moisture warning pop up before when I would attemptto charge, but it would always go away. After I dropped it in the sink, I attempted to dry it out, but i was constantly getting the warning and alarm every two seconds that I need to unplug the phone as if I had it plugged it. I couldnt get it to stop while I was trying to shake out so I shut the phone off. I left it in the sun for an hour after shaking out as much water as I could. I turned the phone on like normal. And everything seemed fine until I needed to charge it.

I am not getting the moisture warning anymore, but the phone no longer charges unless I use a very old cable that does not come with super fast charging. The only way I can get my phone to charge. Using any charger is if I turn the phone off and plug it in. When I plug it in, I have to wait to see if I get the charging thunderbolt. If I don't get the charging thunderbolt, I have to flip the plug to the other side, assuming this is how it figures out westher or not a phone is capable for fast charge / super fast charge 2.0. I have tried 6 cable and 8 wall plugs from my house and from my workplace.

Bye Everyone

I loved my S23 Ultra. It was powerful, easy to use, and for me most of all, it took amazing pictures. This weekend to took my trusted S23, turned it upside down and dipped it in the pool to take some video of my granddaughter swimming underwater for the first time. I pulled it out of the pool and video looked great... until it didn't.

See the back of the phone had separated from the body inside the case - I'm assuming from all the days in the Texas heat documenting field work. I didn't know. I never saw this coming. I'm devastated. Can we all take a short moment of silence. 🤦‍♂️

Media volume forcefully lowered everytime you receive a notification, like or dislike?

I find this feature the most annoying in all my 13+ years of using Samsung phones, curious to know what you guys think.

What's inside my S23 Ultra's camera?

It looks like a stain, but in theory, it is only visible in the light.

Leaving the Grp today

Finally I left my s23ultra to the dealer and got vivo x300 pro in exchange . Took me 2 months of yes and no ..the deal was nice and I'll miss my s23 ultra a lot . She was the best phone ever . I just hoped samsung would have not destroyed my 10x zoom with software updates .

Still the journey has been awesome .

Best of luck to everyone who have it and know it's full potential .
