This is my loadout right now, but I've run out of pinballs and the deals are so trash that I don't wanna spend $100 for like 5 mins worth of pinballs, I think you get like 12000 or something?? Horrendous, what are some packs to save money for? Like awesome deals, I assume there's something with rotating events?

Right now I got bulbasaur to evo 3 and I'm pretty happy with it, I also have the squirtle cat pokemon and the fire starter pokemon on the way to evo 3. But someone suggested getting mantis and toad there first so I'm doing that rn. Please point me to guides that would help or any advice 🙏

Appreciate all the advice thanks

Finally debt free after 2 years

I know this isn't the kind of thing people usually flex about. Nobody's impressed that you paid back money you shouldn't have borrowed in the first place. But I've been carrying this weight quietly for so long that I need to put it somewhere, and my friends are tired of hearing about it.

Two years ago I was earning 40k a month. I was young, I'd just started working, and I genuinely had no idea how credit cards worked beyond "swipe now, worry later." Banks kept approving me. One card became two, two became five. I still don't understand why they handed a 40k salary guy that much credit. Nobody sat me down and explained minimum payments, interest, or what happens when you roll it over month after month. I was a sweet, clueless kid and I learned the hard way.

Then life did what life does. I got laid off. I switched jobs. There were months where I had no income at all and the cards became the only way to keep going. Add in some impulse purchases I still cringe about, and by the end of it I owed around 2 lakhs across 5 cards. For two years, every single month started with the same feeling: how much do I owe, who do I pay first, what can I put off. That low background anxiety never switched off. It followed me into every purchase, every job interview, every night I couldn't sleep.

Today I received my first paycheck at my new job. 2 lakhs a month. The exact number I owed. I don't know if that's the universe being poetic or just a coincidence, but it hit me hard.

So I did it. I logged into every app, one by one, and paid every card in full. No pending dues, no rolling balance, nothing. Then I called and closed three of them. I kept the Axis card only because they gave me some lounge passes, but it's going in a drawer and never getting swiped again. I kept one Kotak card for my subscriptions, and that's the only credit line I have left.

I'm sitting here now and I keep checking the apps just to see the zeros. Two years of dread, gone in an afternoon.

Tonight is the first night in a long, long time where I don't owe anyone a single rupee. No one's money is sitting with me waiting to be returned. I'm going to sleep like a baby.

If you're early in your career and a bank is dangling a credit card at you with a "free" limit, please learn from me. The limit isn't free. The cost is two years of your peace of mind.

Where to go?

Hey guys, I came to Kanpur to meet my partner. I was wondering if there are any places we can visit. Until now we have decided to go to some blue water park and Ganga ghat. We have been to Z Square Mall but that was okayish, nothing to write home about.

Any restaurants we can visit for a date. Has to be safe and good ambience. Just some high quality place I can visit with my gf

Looking for reputed/safe couple friendly hotels for a week

Hello guys, I'm looking for a week's stay for my gf and myself in kanpur, money is not an issue but safety is. I just want a no hassle couple friendly stay which I can reasonably trust to not have fishy tactics. Police incoming, or like hotel staff being too nosy or cameras in room etc.

If you have any suggestions, id really appreciate it. Ideally within 5-6 kms from IIT.

Please do not reply if you just want to mock or suggest oyos or other cheap options. I have a decent life and I'm not looking to entertain any immature comments like sex krega hehehehe or stuff like that.

Would really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Anyone want pvr tea kits?

I have got 2 pvr teakits this month from my credit card, but I'm new in gurgaon and have no one to go with and my hometown doesn't have pvr, so they're up for grab if you want them.

For disclosure I don't really know whats the money cap on them and I'm sure they only work on PVR website as coupon codes. You'll have to try them on your own. So if you want them, dm me and I'd be happy to give you the codes. First come first serve basis only so the first one gets it.

Cheers. Have fun at the movies

Need advice on credit cards — restarting after clearing past debt

Hey everyone, looking for some guidance.

Back when my salary was ₹30k/month around 3 years ago, I got three credit cards. It was my first time using credit and I messed up pretty badly — racked up a fair amount of debt. I eventually cleared it all, but after that experience I got scared and basically stopped using my cards altogether.

Fast forward to now — I've grown in my career and my salary is around ₹2L/month. My new salary starts getting credited from next month.

A few questions:

  1. Should I wait ~6 months to build a salary history before applying, or can I apply right away?

  2. Which cards would you recommend for someone in this salary bracket?

  3. Any specific cards that are great for someone restarting their credit journey?

For context, I do have an existing credit history (and presumably a decent score since I cleared everything). Open to cashback, travel, or lifestyle cards — just want to make smart choices this time around.

Thanks in advance!
