Holy Common Sense! The August 23rd timetable shows a few Traralgon Peak services not taking up precious slots on the viaduct. I look forward to the facebook groups demanding the reinstatement of this segment, still timetabled at 12 minutes. Am I expected to lug my suitcase to my connecting service at Flinders St ? But I have always lugged my suitcase to my connecting service at Spencer..,sorry Southern Cross! How can the government truncate services like this?? Now I need to wait up to 3 minutes and take a 3 minute journey instead of a 12 minute trip? I’m off to write to my local member!😀

According to the timetable on the V/Line web site, the purple shading on every train indicates reservations are required.

On the FAQs https://www.vline.com.au/Information/FAQs/Question-1 “Are reservations compulsory on V/Line services?” There are a mix of reserved and unreserved carriages.

Which advice is correct?

I think QF has announced these non stop flights more times than trump has re-opened Hormuz.

On IOS I have version 5.5 (“updated 1 week ago) and note the little “WiFi” signal top right. This service was on time (babe! wake up! a V/line service is on time!) but I saw on the weekend the scheduled departure time was crossed out and a later time written in.

V/Line app still has a disclaimer “Departure information is not updated in real time”.
