Things to do near Festival Theatre with teen and 8 year old

My teen is going to be babysitting my 8 year old, while my other teen and I see a show at the Festival Theatre. What can they do together during a matinee that is near the theatre for 2-3 hours? We are staying at a hotel not walking distance to the theatre, which they may just stay at and swim, but want to see what other options there may be.

Mirvish sale

I thought I saw a Mirvish Loonie (BOGO) sale for Canada Day. I know they don’t usually do that, so I’m wondering if I saw some old content, or just dreamed it? I can’t find it again.

AI lesson plans

My daughter’s teacher uses almost exclusively AI lessons paired with video instruction. This is grade 8. My daughter hated it as it came with the typical AI problems. Teacher could never answer questions, just referred to the video (like Waterloo math videos as an example). So of the kids didn’t understand it or wanted another example, the teacher couldn’t do that. It this allowed? I let it go too long, but I want to know for the future. This is not a new teacher, but she is new to the school.

Number transfer upon death

Hi - my husband recently passed away. We both have PM. Does anyone know if it is possible to transfer his number to my account (I change my number to his) before I shut down his account? He has a really good 416 number that we used for a business, and I'd like to keep it.

Boiler Cleaning

I got caught up in the Enbridge scheme where they come to change the metre and end up aggressively writing citations. I have no idea if mine is warranted or not, but I need to have my boiler cleaning (not just the year maintenance). Anyone know what a decent cost for this is. Most places aren’t returning my call. I have one quote for $850. I’m hesitant to pay that much bc my boiler does need to be replaced. But in the meantime, f’ing Enbridge is threatening to turn off my gas. My husband has end stage cancer so I can’t spend $10-12k today for a new furnace, but plan to before next winter. Any ideas? Help!
