Looking to paddle board out by Olde Port Beach tomorrow but was wondering if there were any rules I had to follow? Do I have to stay within a certain distance of the shore? Do I have to wear a life jacket (I plan to stay close to shore regardless and can swim) ? Can I paddle board all the way to the lighthouse or is that only for the watercraft company located there? Tons of other questions etc. if you have any info. I would appreciate it !

Was hoping to summit Half Dome at the end of this week coming up but a friend mentioned that someone working in the park said that they will go up this Wednesday the 13th. I don’t want to believe it right off the bat, but can’t seem to find updates on any NP websites. Any info is appreciated !

Me and 3 buds are planning on doing Half Dome while the cables are still down. We plan to start at 4 am and knock it out all in one day - do we still need Wilderness Permits for that since it’s a day hike and not overnight ?? I try and look for answer, but all I get is information on permits for Half Dome which is not what I’m looking for. Any help is appreciated!
