Want UG to get good PHD -> Industry. Not that cracked at academics. Alr doing research and am good at projection + soft skills. I want to know if Rice's ECE pipeline/focus is worse enough to justify CMU's much harder curriculumn and harder professor and research access.

Should I retake? What if I get a 34 after retake but high science, is that better?
Basically, I got into a really hard lab that almost exclusively accepts post docs and and like 2 who finished UG. But, the lab got popular bc of a paper and a lot of freshman research initiative people are joining and the difficulty of getting in as a HS student doesn’t nearly seem as crazy anymore. In addition, they have published in Nature but aren’t expecting to do so anytime soon.
Advice?
