Please help

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there’s any way I can get some relief from this sore spot I have on my vulva. My doctor wants to do a skin biopsy on my but I can’t do it until next Monday (when my insurance kicks in cause I can’t afford anymore self pay appointments). She doesn’t want me using steroids until after I get the biopsy to ensure it’s accurate she suspects I have lichen planus on the vulva. It’s really sore, and red I’m just wondering if any of you lovely people have any suggestions ? Thank you

Very frustrated with my gyno

Okay so I kinda made some progress today (no thanks to my gyno) which Im feeling very hopeful about (knock on wood). I’m also very happy to have a great pcp that has been trying her best to help to me and is also very frustrated with my gyno rn. I’ve been having issues for 2 months. I had a yeast infection that took forever to go away, which my pcp helped me with. However, I was still red and still having pain, weird feeling when I pee, weird sensations, etc. so she referred me to a gyno to see if anything else was going on. Well the gyno tested me for everything (I was negative for it all) and told me there was nothing on my vulva. However, I see redness, my boyfriend sees redness, my pcp sees redness. I got frustrated and made another appointment with my pcp. She hasn’t seen me since I’ve been yeast free so she looks and confirms that I am not crazy she sees inflammation but also a white lace line patch on my vulva (I’m so bad at describing things sorry) that she couldn’t really see before bc when she saw me last I had caked on yeast. My boyfriend had also been telling me about that spot but I thought nothing on it But it is where mainly my pain is coming from. Unfortunately I don’t have another gyno near me to do a biopsy, so I have to go back to them.

Possible vulva lichen planus

I just went to the doctor today, It started with a yeast infection that took a while to get rid of on the vulva only. Now I’ve had a sore spot on my vulva, a white patch and redness, irritation all around, when I pee. It burns, and also flares when I wash it, feels dry, sometimes gives me these weird sensations. Does it sound like that could be it? I have to go get a biopsy soon and I’m nervous about that as well.

Scared and confused

Okay so on here I saw that someone said their doctor said that vulvodynia was a life long condition for everyone but my doctor said that it depends on what’s causing it and that’s not the case for everyone.. and as someone with a lot of anxiety Ive been balling my eyes out all night. Can someone clarify for me please

Rant

Hi everyone, warning this will be a long post as I just need to get it off my chest.

let me start with some background so this makes sense… It all started 2.5 months ago when I felt irritated, scratchy and a weird sensation in my vulva like I had to pee when I didn’t. Of course my insurance ran out and I wouldn't have any again for 3 months (just lovely). I ran to urgent care the last day I had insurance, they took my pee, called me a few days later and said I had bv. I took oral metro and the feeling continued. I have never had an infection before so I had no clue what to look for. When I could afford it I went to the next available appointment my doctors office had when I could afford it.. unfortunately wasn't able to get it with my doctor. She takes my pee and tests me for STDs that I knew I didn’t have. Tells me she thinks its just irritation sends me off. Well I finally was able to get in with my doctor.. she thankfully actually looks at my vagina it was all red and yeasty. I took clotrimazole/steroid cream that did make me feel better but i developed this one spot after about a week of using it that became sore. I suspect I used to much and for longer than I needed. I went back... she said it looked alot better and then gave me fluconazole. That spot never went away and i feel it when I pee and when I have a bm (sorry tmi) and she put me on nystatin cream because I was red again and she said she saw yeast. There definitely was something there when this all started as my bf, doctor and me all saw it. I went to the gyno 8 days after that, and yeah she wasn’t helpful at all. I see red where that spot is but she said everything looked normal and tested me for STDs again, yeast, bv all came back negative. I now have less burning and feeling that spot when I pee or have a bm, I now have this weird sensation feelings on the left side of my vulva that doesn’t really hurt just annoying.

Now for the rant… what the actual fudge? After these 2 infections I have this? I’ve been so freakin careful all my life with my vagina. I was afraid to have sex for the longest time, i never even out a tampon in. Ive only ever been with one person, and he's always been very mindful during sex never doing anything that hurt me or my cooter and if it did he stopped instantly. I wash everyday, unscented soap.. wash my clothes with unscented soap. It wasn’t always like that but I do now. I’m sure a lot of you on here can relate or feel the same way. On top of it the medical industry sucks and you can never get any appointments… and if you don’t have insurance ITS EXPENSIVE. I feel so upset with myself because me and my bf haven’t had sex in 2 months, not bc it hurts but bc I wanted to clear up whatever is going on first and he agreed I should. We have been together 5 years and I’m so afraid of loosing him bc of this. He’s been so supportive but I’m still so scared. On top of all that my pill that I’ve been on for years has been giving me spotting for these 2 months and now I’m full on bleeding on active pills. I’m so don’t want to give up but I’m getting mentally warn out… and I feel so sorry for a lot of you one here who deal with a lot worse than me. I’m crying so much rn, Im so so scared.

So sorry for the long post… please feel free share your stories, frustrations, etc. with me. I’m all ears, or ig technically eyes.

I need advice please

hi everyone, I 23f over 2 months ago I started having issues down there. it started with just irritation/feeling like I had something stuck in my vulva like pee or something. I got told I had bv, so I took that medicine. I didn’t feel better so I went to a doctor and she said sounds like just irritation. Well it did not go away, so I went to my doctor, who saw a bunch of yeast on my vulva, treated that with clortimazole + steroid cream I can’t remember the name of, over a week into usinh that I get a sore spot on my vagina that felt weird when I peed and also I could feel when having a bm, also when washing in the shower. I went back to her she said there’s still redness but better and she gave fluconazole. Well that spot didn’t go away so now I went back to her and she says I’m red and sees yeast then gives me nystatin cream. She also referred me to a gyno, who I went to yesterday who said I had weird funky discharge (I do not suspect STDs as I’ve been tested for them already). She tested me but I don’t get the results till at the earliest tomorrow. The feeling in the spot has gone down but I’m now full on bleeding even tho I’m taking the active pills of my birth control and I was experiencing on and off bleeding/spotting in these 2 months (I’ve been on this pill for 3 years). I have weird sensations in my vulva and vagina, other times feels like I have poison ivy or something on my vulva. I am so scared rn, I don’t want this to ruin my relationship of 5 years, he’s been very supportive but I’m still scared. I’ve only ever been with one person if that’s helpful info. Does anyone have advice?

Dermatitis?

After being treated for weeks with anti fungal creams for a vulva yeast infection (monitored by a doctor), I feel like I’ve developed dermatitis or something. my vulva is extremely red and looks like there is even parts of skin missing. It hurts on one side when I urine hits it. Is this possible? Has this happened to anyone else or am I being crazy? how should I treat it?

I’m so scared

I have an vuvla only yeast infection (first ever infection of any kind besides bv they found from a urine pcr that I took medicine for), I’ve tried fluconazole pills and 2 weeks of clotrimazole with a steroid which got rid of it for the most part. Over a week in I realized i wasn’t using the cream everywhere I needed to, when I started putting it on that spot I started having a really red painful spot that hurt when I pee and is sore. I had to stop that after 2 weeks. I got put on 3 fluconazole pills 3 days apart but that spot just continued to feel worse. I requested a different cream and she put me on nystatin it’s been a lot better at 3 days but not 100%. I still feel weird In that one spot and it doesn’t hurt when I pee anymore but I can still feel that spot. I am so scared of developing vulvodynia, I had the infection for 6 weeks before I could get anyone to diagnose me. Ive been treating for a total of 4 weeks. Im terrified rn, and am really scared. Has anyone had anything similar happen to them and not developed vulvodynia? I’m so terrified that I’m shaking and have been balling my eyes out for weeks. I haven’t had sex since this started, my bf has been very supportive of me healing, I am on birth control that I take continuously with breaks every few months.
