Is Claims a bad job?

So I just got my official offer for a claims adjuster role, I’m 23, graduated undergrad a year ago and plan on going to law school next August. I currently work for a jail doing admin work where I make less than 40k and the schedule is on a biweekly rotating schedule (it’s horrible). I currently still live with my mom and she was saying that it’s a bad idea to take this job as a government job has more stability. I’ve been at my current job 6 months and it will be 7 months once I leave. I’m getting a significant pay increase by leaving my current position, but I’m not understanding why my mom is so against the idea of this job. Any advice would be appreciated.

How bad is Law School REALLY?

So I’ve genuinely never been the type of person to stress much, school has always come pretty naturally to me, I know for a fact law school is probably going to be the hardest thing I do academia wise, but I see a lot of people genuinely act as if it subtracted years to their life. I’m taking my lsat on Saturday been really excited for it as I’ve been PT in a desirable score range, and once I’m done with that I can finally chill as I’ve been studying since February. From the lsat prep alone that’s probably the most I’ve actually genuinely studied for anything in my life it wasn’t all that easy but I will say that I had a higher than average diagnostic. I’m curious as to how stressful is law school?

Masters Before Law School?

So I’m really big on environmental work, and I want to go to law school to be an environmental lawyer, I just recently got admitted into Columbias SPS Sustainability Management program for this upcoming fall. However I’ve already been studying for the lsat and will be taking it in June (and August most likely). The SPS program is expensive and NYC is expensive as well, but it would line up with going to law school next fall as it is only a three semester program (Fall,Spring,Summer) I really love nyc and really wanted to do the Masters Program at Columbia but it’s hard justifying the price, I’m not sure how much I really need it (other than mentally going insane at home). Would like advice on what I should do.

So I was watching Repoze the other day and he said he raised his monitor Gamma up so he could see better. I personally feel like I can hardly see anything in DaD without light which is kinda the point, but I get frustrated because I can’t see projectiles at all when I either throw them or shoot them. I’ve kinda adapted to working around it, but is it crazy to raise my monitor gamma so I can consistently see my own projectiles and where they are going?

So how cooked am I? I was kinda tweaking in under grad, and forgot that I wanted to go to law school at some point. It’s been a year since I graduated and will technically be two years once next fall roles around, I am going to take the June LSAT, and I’ve been PTing in the low 170s consistently. I was aiming high for a t14 school or some hefty scholarship at another school. Is that even possible with my gpa?
