Need help with JioFiber IPv6 DNS Config.

Hello guys, I need some help with configuring Adguard Home in JioFiber JCOW407 Router. Currently, I am running Adguard Home in a Mini PC. I have successfully configured IPv4 DNS in the router to resolve to my PC IP, however IPv6 simply doesn’t seem to work. I did change the IPv6 DNS servers to my Mini PC IP, yet it somehow gets bypassed by Jio DNS servers automatically?
Can someone help me with this?

Is it even possible to change IPv6 DNS settings in this router or will I have to get another router?

Thanks in advance!

Mini PC Users!

Those who Use Mini PC’s or Thin clients to run their services, do you guys shutdown the device at any interval or instance? Like every night or weekly or monthly etc..? Since there is limited space and a risk of overheating and hardware damage? How do you manage thermals, airflow and dust ?

PS: I’m a beginner trying to learn more about homelabbing hardware and software. Thanks!

XBS Microphone Help

Hello guys, I have some issues with microphone while playing COD Warzone Multiplayer. I can hear my friend’s voice who plays from PC but he cannot hear my voice. I have connected a Sony Headphone to the controller through AUX cable. But my audio is not getting transmitted. I tried various methods like changing settings and also tried speaking with discord overlay, but it just doesn’t work. Can someone confirm whether it’s a bug or if the microphone is not supported at all?

Thanks in advance.

Deco X50 Question

Hello guys, I am planning to buy the Deco X50 3000mbps mesh router since my Main router has become old and outdated.

However, I am confused if it has to be purchased minimum as a 2 pack only? I mean I do need 2 mesh units but the two pack is always unavailable.

Can I just do 2 Quantities of 1 pack? Won’t that work?

I’m asking cause google says it might not work if both of them are of different firmware or hardware version? Can someone please guide me?

Thanks in advance

Old Laptop Homelab Officially Dead

Finally the day has come. My old Sony VIAO Laptop which I used to run couple of containers, Jellyfin Stack for 1.5 months is officially dead. It was running fine so far but when I tried to access it today at 8 PM it’s completely dead (It worked when I last checked at 6:45PM Today).
As far as I can see, the hard drive works and all files are intact. However, I believe the old hardware and heat abuse caught up and blew up the power supply to the motherboard.

Sad day indeed. Just started to learn Linux and stuffs and this happens.

Since I’m a student I can’t really afford enterpirse grade equipment. Does someone know how to continue this setup using an old server or Ras-pi probably within a budget of 5k?

Xbox Double NAT Issue

Hello guys, I recently switched my ISP from Airtel Fiber to ACT Fiber. I’m having a NAT issue in my xbox after switching. It shows NAT Type as Moderate and Double NAT Detected. Someone please me fix this. In Airtel, the NAT was strict but it was fixed as soon as I added my Xbox IP to DMZ. However this doesnt work in ACT Router. It already has UPnP enables regardless. It a TP-Link Mesh HX510 router btw.

Does someone know how to fix this?

Help me pick a router!

Hello guys, I actually need some help regarding a router situation. I have a 300mbps Fiber Connection. My ISP is providing me with a router with my connection. However, I am confused on which one to choose since I have 2 options.

One is TP-Link HX510 Mesh Router, another is TP-Link EX220 AX1800 router. I also have to add that there will be two routers (essentially the same model) to create a mesh network. The HX510 provides a combined bandwidth of 3000Mbps and a Max Channel Width of 160Mhz vs 80 on the latter but Has only 2 LAN ports, lack dedicated LED Indicators and also has no option to separate the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz Bands.

Considering I have a homelab running, do gaming and advanced networking (still relatively new to this) and couple of IoT devices, suggest me the better option. Currently the HX510 is provided but I am kinda feeling that it is lacking somehow.I am thinking to switch to the AX1800 one since it is a proper router, however its combined bandwidth is lesser but I think it doesn’t matter for my speed anyways?

Help me choose pls!!! Thanks in advance!

TLDR: Suggest the better router, TP-Link EX220 AX1800 or HX510.

Recommend sale purchases?

Hello guys, as you all know the xbox sale is going on. I am planning to buy some games which offer good value. I’m totally confused and lost on which games to buy. Someone please suggest me a good list of games which is VFM too. Also I prefer games which can be played multiple times rather than those which are to be played once and wasted. I own a series S for ref.

Thanks in advance!!!

Xbox Gamepass Ultimate Help

Hello guys, finally I have decided to resubscribe to Xbox Game pass after not using Xbox itself from the past one year. I am looking for the cheapest way to buy or/and stack Gamepass ultimate, now that ultimate price has also gone down. I have a few questions tho:

  1. What is the current conversion ratio?
  2. Is it better to stack or buy monthly subscription?
  3. Where to buy the game pass from? (Amazon or any third part websites(kindly suggest reliable sellers))?

Thanks in advance.

Hello guys, my 450X Ather connect subscription is going to end soon. I can see discounted price for early renewal. Can someone confirm whether the prices go back to normal (5k and 2.5k) if I don’t renew before expiry? Or does it remain the same?
