11 weeks and struggling.

Mostly just looking for words of wisdom, or encouragement here.

I'm only 11 weeks along, I went to a fertility clinic to become pregnant (PMOS/PCOS without ovulation), I have asthma and pre-diabetic before pregnancy, I just turned 33, height is 5'8" weight is currently 320lbs, was 300lbs beforehand.

I have basically been in bed rest for the last few weeks, with some movement during the day but I can only move so much before I am astonishingly bloated, exhausted, cramping in upper stomach, legs/pelvis feels sore, my feet hurt or swell, or I'm just nauseous or winded.

I am terrified that 1.) Its only going to get worse from here on out until after birth, and 2.) I am high-risk for GD and in general for pregnancy because of my BMI and pre-diabetes, and I am worried about how this may effect my life but also my baby's during pregnancy.

I have my first OB apt post fertility clinic in about 1.5 weeks, but until then I am just nervous. I am questioning if this will even be possible for me to have this baby without completely putting my health on the line.

I'm also in a weird mood lately because NONE of my clothes fit, I had to buy maternity leggings already, but even then I got the largest size I could find near me (XXL) and they are tight. Pre-pregnancy I usually wore an XL.

Also, my mother works in a NICU department and has completely distilled the fear in me of the liklihood about my baby going there, just since I am high-risk.

Did you experience anything similar? Was your health a concern? What helped you to keep going without beating yourself up mentally?

Help with figuring out what to do about Summer semester credit hours

Not my proudest moment, but I registered for three classes this semester and already had to drop one (3 credits) due to personal reasons.

Currently I am struggling greatly with one of my other ones (4 credits), and doing ok with my remaining class (3 credits).

My financial aid loan has been sent out, but I have not recieved it in my bank yet. I have never received Federal student loans before, this is my first time. All of the requirements are overwhelming and confusing me, tbh.

The classes I took this semester seemed ok at first, but my finals are in about 2 weeks. I am super behind (personal reasons keep preventing me), they're online, I am confused, and I am panicking. The likelihood of me passing the 4 credit class is low, and honestly I want to drop it to protect my overall GPA. (I'm also switching majors now so its irrelevant).

What should I expect if I do drop the 4 credit class and go below the part-time credit hours threshold?

Do I pay the loan back immediately? Do I have a 6 month grace period to get my credit hours back up?

I should also mention I am registered full-time (12 credits) for the fall semester already.

Singer LK100 for sale near me, not sure what I'm looking at..

Still new to machine knitting, and have been eyeing the Singer LK100. I'm familiar with the machine part that's in the box, but whats sitting outside on the floor?

Would you recommend this machine for a beginner?

I do have a Brother KH-864, but it seems like there's a hefty learning curve and I still have to replace the spongebar. Looking for possibly a simplified machine.

Thanks!

(Sorry I forgot to post the picture with my first post.. 🤦‍♀️)

New Londons with too tight of instep

Hi! Purchased these Londons, new but second owner online. I have been wearing birks for decades and my footed has consistently been a 39, never had a problem with instep sizing until my last pair of Boston's (suede) and these leather Londons. The instep is soo tight I can hardly get my foot in.

Is this something I can resolve with leather conditioner? Or warm damp sock (if a sock will fit..) like my Blundstones? Unfortunately I can't return them and I don't want to pass them off to my mom like the Boston's.

Thanks!

Hello! Newbie here.

I was working on a project where I'm knitting in the round. Using 4" Chiaogoo Quads (4.5mm) w/ SWIVL cables (8").

The working stitches are tight, like I have to fight to get them on the needle, while the tension for the knit stitches seems fine(?).

My left thumb joint is also hurting bad, I knit continental style so this is the hand that holds my working yarn.

I try to loosen my grip, I don't feel like its tight. I also didn't think my tension was that tight, but maybe I'm wrong. I got these needles thinking they were more ergonomic, but I didn't have this problem with my wooden Lyyke needles, but I do love on my fixed needles how well the yarn slides..

For reference I am doubling up on thin mohair, I know one is by Malabrigo. I knit for maybe 30 minutes at a time and that is when the thumb pain and frustration with the working loops becomes too frustrating where I stop.

Any tips or advice? Thank you!

(I know my stitches are twisted, I'm struggling with keeping it straight with these needles)

I also can't return my Chiaogoo Quads and have almost a full set so I'm trying my best to make these work.
