I want to open a new CC before I start wedding planning, need recommendations

-Current Cards: Discover It, $7,100 limit, Jan 2021

-FICO score: 779

-Oldest Account age: 5 years 4 months

-Income: $75,000 yearly

-Average monthly spend: Roughly $2,300-3,000 monthly. Restaurants: $350. Auto: $100. Groceries: $250. Health/Doctors: $150. Clothing: $150

-Open to Business Cards: No

-Purpose of next card: Want to replace my day to day Discover It card with something similarly simple. Would like to get cash back or other perks.

-Cards I've been looking at: Chase Sapphire or Capital One Venture

-Okay with category spending

I'm 27F and the Discover It has been my only credit card for 5 years, but now Discover is merging with Capitol One and I just want to switch to a new card already and leave Discover behind. I don't love the idea of cards with annual fees but I am curious about cards that accumulate points that can be redeemed with airlines or hotels. I know those things contradict. I'm getting engaged very soon and thinking ahead if we could use this card for big wedding purchases and to accumulate points for future travel etc.

Discover & Plaid haven't worked in over a month

For those who don't know, Plaid is a third-party service that lets you connect financial institutions to budgeting apps etc. Since late March, Discover accounts have been unable to connect through Plaid, and after trying every troubleshooting step possible, I learned the issue appears to be tied to the ongoing Discover/Capital One merger causing compatibility problems with Plaid.

The most frustrating part is that this has now gone unresolved for well over a month...approaching two months, with little communication or clarity about a fix. This completely derails the ability to track Discover credit card spending in budgeting apps, which is a core feature many people rely on to manage finances responsibly. I use Rocket Money and for 2 months now, i haven't been able to track my credit card purchases or payments. It's totally messed up my budget. And I'm sure thousands of other people use Plaid to track their Discover accounts too, so I can't be the only one frustrated.

At this point, it’s honestly making me consider opening a credit card with another institution, because a card that can’t reliably integrate with modern financial tools is becoming difficult to justify using. Is this happening to anyone else?
