Books on the subject of sin from both a biblical theology or systematic theology perspective?

My question is essentially identical to the title. I am after books about sin. I believe harmatiology is the systematics term. I'm not looking for books on resisting sin and mortifying it so much as about sin itself.

I would lean more towards the popular level but I can handle some pretty heavy reads.

I'd like a variety of perspectives if possible; a biblical survey, a systematic analysis, historical views.

I want to understand more about it.

Books for understanding how we got to the current western cultural moment and worldview?

Until recently I had not read since my late teenage years, but I have recently started again.

As I read much older fiction; history and even relatively recent (within the last century) books its very clear people saw the world in different ways. If you amplify the chronological and geographical gap this is even more apparent.

So I would like books that examins how a modern westener thinks and how we got here.

For example views on happiness, on political process, on liberalism, on architectural style and so so much more seem to have changed.

Can anyone help me out?

List of 1662 BCP Black Letter days?

Ill preface this by saying I don't currently own a physical 1662 BCP, but i hope to soon.

I have looked through several online editions of the 1662 abd i haven't been able to find a straightforward list of black letter days in any of them.

Is this a textual variation between BCP printings, have i just been very unlucky or unobservant 3 times?

Does anyone have a list or link to a list of BCP black letter days?

Why is the divine council still considered controversial?

In essence the view with my understanding is:

God having created subordinate heavenly beings and delegated certain tasks to them.

Some of these heavenly beings later rebelled against him.

This is seems to be a pretty mainstream view in biblical academia ( secular and to a lesser extent christian), but still seems controversial for some reason.

>The heavens praise your wonders, Lord, your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones. 6 For who in the skies above can compare with the Lord? Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings? 7 In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared; he is more awesome than all who surround him.

It seems to me the choice essentialy boils down to polytheism or divine council. (otherwise what are the Sons of God, the heavenly beings)

What is the controversy, have I missed something obvious?

Is anyone willing to share, in full or in part, the reading list for their priestly education? Which texts did you hate/love or find formative?

I'm curious to see how priests/presbyters are taught in the CofE.

what are the standard texts now that everyone seems to disagree theologically on both answers and methods for getting those answers.

What were the most formative texts and works you had to reference and study, for you?

Are there texts you find yourself referring to today?

Could you share the bulk of your reading lists?

Best resources for understanding patristic Angelolgy and Demonology?

Im looking for both primary sources and overall guides or introductions.

I want to survey the patristic views as i feel a lot of modern day baggage has intefered with our views of Angelology and Demonology with new-age practices and the occult on the one hand and materialism on the other.
