Wind Through the Blue” — an older illustration of mine

I found this older illustration of mine recently and still really love the atmosphere.

I wanted to capture a quiet summer moment with the sound of wind, flowers, and old air conditioners in the background.

It’s quite different from what I’m drawing these days, but I still feel like it has a little piece of my current style in it.

Artificial Angel III — Original Ink & Watercolor Illustration

Something is beginning to take shape.

A strange artificial angel, surrounded by machinery, wires, and small lights, as if quietly being born into the world.

Artificial Angel II — Original Ink & Watercolor Illustration

An artificial angel, quietly taking shape among wires, machinery, and old lights.

I wanted to capture the strange feeling of something being created — not quite human, not quite a machine, but still searching for a sense of self.

Original ink & watercolor illustration on toned paper.

A little shrine hidden in a back alley 👻⛩️

I've always loved drawing tiny hidden worlds.

This is an older watercolor illustration I painted back in 2018, inspired by quiet Japanese back streets, little shrines, lucky cats, and friendly spirits hiding in everyday places.

I still enjoy creating small magical scenes like this, and I hope it brings you a little smile.

Working on a new zine about everyday life in Japan 🌿

Hi!

I'm currently working on a new zine inspired by everyday life in Japan.

It features little moments that make ordinary days feel special—my houseplants, the things I collect, hobbies I'm currently enjoying, and peaceful walks around my neighborhood.

It's still a work in progress, but I wanted to share a little preview of the layout. I hope you enjoy it! ✨

The Flesh of the Immortal Mermaid – Original ink & watercolor illustration

The Flesh of the Immortal Mermaid

This is an original ink and watercolor illustration from my Japanese Yokai series.

It was inspired by the old Japanese legend that says eating the flesh of a mermaid grants immortality. Rather than depicting a beautiful mermaid, I imagined the mysterious remains of an immortal being, enshrined among camellia flowers, sacred ropes, candles, and crashing waves.

Japanese folklore is full of strange and fascinating stories, and I love bringing them to life through my illustrations.

I hope you enjoy this mysterious little world. ✨

My favorite indoor plant wall setup. Love how the roots are growing!

Wanted to share a corner of my room where I display my favorite green friends. I’m especially proud of the long aerial roots of my Vanda orchid and the staghorn fern! Handled the hanging displays using baskets and wire mesh. Hope this gives you some cozy indoor jungle vibes!

Two of my favorite ATCs I made ✨ by Fukurokouji K

I’ve always thought ATCs are such a wonderful culture—everyone's unique world is packed into such a tiny space, and they’re all so fascinating! ✨ I really wanted to join in, so I made these. Here are two of my hand-painted ATCs! One is themed around Tanabata (the Japanese Star Festival), and the other is an underwater world. I absolutely love packing so many details into this small size. I hope you like them! 💫🐳
