Man, took a lot of shots to its balls and Ungo's sugar, and ministry dousing powder. But it was worth it. (First playthrough hehe)

How many tries did it take y'all?

So, I've completed everything I could in the game(my first play through) like every miniboss and boss, all the skills, prosthetic tools, etc... and I'm only left the 3 bosses(i haven't yet faced them even once. I'm about to do the return ending first and then I'll go and face owl)

This game is probably the best game I've ever played. The gameplay, lore, difficulty, everything is perfect. After obtaining the Return ending, I will be playing it again for the rest of the endings too. 11/10 game ;)

Man, the last part was frickin cinematic. I had like 5% hp left and so did the true monk. And just then.... I REMEMBERED I HAVE THE MORTAL BLADE WHICH I FORGOT TO USE THE WHOLE FIGHT!!!!

Threw some firecrackers at her, and SWISHH. Beat her on 4 tries (⁠^⁠O⁠^⁠)

How many tries did she take for you??

Took me like 10-15 tries and what really helped me was learning his moves perfectly. This was a MASTERPIECE OF A FIGHT!!

So, I've done the "3" things needed for this, namely -

(1)Gotten the lotus by beating the ape. (2) Gotten the stone by beating the corrupted monk (3)Beaten the folding screen monkeys

So, I've given the Divine child one persimmon and she's given me rice for kuro. I was about to go to kuro but now the castle has been invaded.

Now owl stands before me. So do i face owl before going to kuro and giving him the "rice for kuro"?

I took like 10-15 tries. This was single handedly the most terrifying boss fight I've ever faced in any game. DID IT JUST FRICKIN HOLD ITS DECAPITATED HEAD AND RUN BLOOD THROUGH IT TO SCREAM?!!?

So,

First phase - fire crackers + mortal blade with ako's sugar and i end him

Second phase - No spirit emblems left due to mortal blade use and it continuously does the full radius slashes that can't be parried easily.

Does fistful of ash work in the headless phase?

Edit - THANKS Y'ALL!!!!! I USED THE TACTICS IN THE COMMENTS AND I FINALLY BEAT THE APE!!!!!!!!

I've completed everything you can complete before facing Genichiro, like all the minibosses before fighting him, all the gourds, all the 3 bosses(Gyoubu, Lady butterfly, corrupted monk) and got the shelter stone.

Now,

i beat genichiro yesterday

and

also completed folding screen monkeys.

Then, I'm about to beat the guardian ape(haven't yet, but figured out how to)

Am I cooked? Do I need to fight the dual apes?

Took me like 25-30 tries but man, finally I could beat him. Well took me 9 gourds and all the prayer necklaces I could find before battling him lol. But was well worth the grind.

After like 10-15 tries... I finally beat lady butterfly. No cheese, proper deflection and some floating passage ;)

I just used contact Medicine and used mist raven and jumped behind him but I'm not seeing the deathblow mark?

How do you actually do it?

Asking because I'm just torn between saving Kotaro and Getting the merchants discount + unlimited senpou sugars.

EDIT - After reading the comments, I've decided that

Kotaro is gonna be a heavenly babysitter.

Jinzaemon is with his mum.

And the surgeon is gonna go to buddha.

Appreciate the advice y'all :) this is my first play through so I'm clueless half the time lol

And to think that he's not even in the top 5 hardest bosses in the game.... 😭

Now I get why people quit sekiro midway. Imma go farm a little more before playing my guy genichiro. I ain't quitting though, this game is a damn masterpiece to quit... *Cries*

Man, Gyoubu Masataka was crazyy. It was actually an easy fight but the aura was insane. Especially when he screams in japanese when he enters the battlefield actually gave me a jumpscare as I didn't know I'd find him there. Took me like 5 long tries to beat him. 10/10 fight, really entertaining. If this was thaaat good and it's just the first boss, I can only imagine the later bosses.

But, i did find the mini boss Juzou the Drunkard slightly harder than Gyoubu when I didn't use the cheese to beat Juzou. What about y'all when you first fought him??
