Support idea: Rem Tokimiya

Just an idea of what a kit would look like for her as the game really needs more support characters imo! (I love our current supports still)
Game: FF Type-0
Class: Support
Stats:
HP - 0.8x
ATK - 0.9x
DEF - 0.7x
Movement speed: 1.2x (Rem would be the “fastest” walking Support character released)

UR1: Undying Wish - grants a unique buff to all allies. Upon getting hit with an attack that KOs you, auto-revives in place with 20% HP, retains BRV, and becomes invincible with increased movement speed for 5 seconds. Cannot use this ability in the first 60 seconds of battle. Cooldown: 70 seconds

UR2: Siphon Delta - Create a large AoE field in a selected area in front of Rem that deals damage over time for 10 seconds. Allies in the field have 20% increased movement speed and rivals in the field have 20% decreased movement speed. Cooldown: 45 seconds

SR: Swap Location - select one ally and switches locations with them on the map. Both Rem and the swapped ally will have 25% increased ATK for 15 seconds and their current BRV will be increased by 50%. Cooldown: 30 seconds

R: Slipstream - dash in the direction of your choice. Cooldown: 18 seconds

Passive: Upon using any movement/teleport related ability: Enters L’cie mode. During L’cie mode, Rem’s ATK and movement speed is greatly increased and her attacks will recover brv to the party (Recovers 5% BRV of her damage dealt for allies for every hit dealt with basic attacks or abilities). L’cie mode is cancelled upon getting KOed.

Hold ability: Devoted Heart - Consumes current HP to restore HP to the party. Stops when Rem has 1 HP. HP consumption rate/speed is the same as Krile’s BRV share.

Normal attack string: Melee range swift dagger strikes.

Weakness: is naturally squishy and can place herself in dangerous positions with her SR ability. Lives on the edge. Easy to get KOed by both melee and agile classes.

Pros: Can generate BRV from nothing. Very offensive support that benefits from attacking during L’cie mode. Undying Wish is strong in longer battles. Can highly utilize all supportive abilities like Teleport, Cura, Ramza, and Renew depending on play style.

How would you adjust “x” character?

Title. Live stream announced adjustments for the following characters:

  1. WoL
  2. Firion
  3. Terra
  4. Rinoa
  5. Balthier
  6. Lightning
  7. Gaia
  8. Prompto

I think Lightning needs some kind of buff as in late game, she’s a master of none character.

  1. Army of One: needs to stunlock rival during the entire animation so they can’t retaliate. Not sure why they thought it’s ok for a rival to use Renew/Barriers in the middle of her Army of One animation.
  2. Her passive: needs to be applied to entire party. Or at least when she’s near allies? Not sure how this helps overall but it might help her allies clear mobs at crystals faster without using abilities? Either that or a rework to the passive itself.
  3. Can’t really comment on Thunderfall and Blaze Rush since I think those are both fine. Thunderfall does severe damage now and yes its startup animation is horrendous, but it wasn’t meant to be used for PvP. It’s mostly for zoning and boss damage.

Others: I’m expecting nerfs to Firion/Rinoa because they’re both meta AF in the right hands.
I’m interested in seeing what they will do to WoL/Balthier.

Want to learn Mandarin: recommendations?

Hello!

I’m moving to Sacramento on July 1st. I want to learn Mandarin as my boyfriend is speaks the language.

Anyone have any recommendations? Either classes, apps, or online videos/tutorials/teachers

I would be completely new and I know it will be extremely hard as I would have to practice daily - but I’m happy to do it. I want to practice it like a hobby

Thank you so much for any help!

Afraid of our future: Advice?

Some context:
My boyfriend and I presently live in the same city (different addresses but we’re only a 15 min drive away from each other).

I recently got a new job - but it will be a 2 hour drive away from where I currently live and I will be moving to that city soon as I’m expected to be in the office.

I told my boyfriend that I will do my best to visit him every weekend. He was understanding and said he’s scared a long distance relationship might not work, but he loves me a lot.

I told him I felt the same way - I am scared and I love him. He is the best relationship/boyfriend in my life. I told him I need at least 3-4 years to build up wealth and sustain myself - and then I’ll find and live with him wherever he goes. It should be easier after I obtain enough experience from my new role (and they do allow transfers). I just wish I had been at my end game when we fell in love (if money/finances were not an issue, I would not be moving away).

I told him I will text/call him after work when I can - and that my number is always available. Like, I love him so much that I would be happy for him if he succeeds even without me being at his side. He’s someone I can do everything with and do nothing with. My feelings for him are intense and I do not want to lose him. He’s someone I want to keep in my future - whether we remain boyfriends, partners, or even friends: I’m happy if he’s happy. I think we know everything about each other and we even have separate friend groups that we hangout with so we are not completely co-dependent. We have been together for half a year, entering month 7 in June.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions on keeping our relationship strong after I move further away? I can’t find a job in the same city as him (job market is rough these days) so I am forced into working at the new job in a different city as money is important for necessities and making life comfortable.

Thank you 🙏
