How are you able to keep the servers alive? I feel like as this grows, the cost for keeping up with the demand might become too much.

Is there any thoughts on partnering up with State organizations, maybe the libraries. Or some union of all the local broadcasters in state.

I know it’s a weird time for gov funding given the Cheeto. I just love what you’re doing, and don’t want it to go away any time soon.

Also, what are ways someone like me can help with this outside of donating.

I want this law to pass. I just think it needs a couple of fixes before it does.

The baseline is already locked in at whatever your rent was on January 31, 2026. That means landlords who have been charging below market rate for years are permanently penalized for doing the right thing, while landlords who have been gouging tenants are rewarded with a higher baseline to work from.

Good landlords should be rewarded, not punished. If you kept rents low out of goodwill, you deserve a path to reset to fair market rate before the cap applies or things should be put in place to limit the associated costs with rental properties. Bad landlords who have been maximizing rents at every opportunity are the ones this law should be squeezing.

We should be regulating insurance premiums, and property taxes along side rent rates.

Like I said. I want the initiative to pass. But I personally own 6 units. The most expensive unit I rent is for 1200 dollars. Which is a two bedroom with a double parlor. If insurance premiums double. Or property taxes go up to fast. I’ll be forced to sell. And I would’ve been punished for being kind in the face of greed.

I’ve emailed my reps with these concerns. If any of you agree with the sentiment. I implore you to do the same.

Chaos ensues, as the blanket statement that men don't face hate comes across extremely tone deaf in a subreddit dedicated to autistic people. To cake on even more layers of irony, autistic people generally struggle with nuance. So, even if the mod had benevolent intentions with their post, the nuances will almost always be lost on people.

I know it's not what most people in the comments have been discussing, but I for one am happy to see the "autism nationalist" people get purged. The resurgence in them spamming this sub recently has been annoying.

Yea its been weird/uncomfortable seeing those viewpoints. Like we joke about being superior, but some people around here are pushing it as a serious stance. Thats the kid of ideology that harms the autistic community

Depends on the person, but a lot of the recent spam was coming from someone who thought autistic people should all go live on some uninhabited island and found a nation there. The nation they wanted was implied to be Marxist-Leninist but they were also really poorly versed in theory so I'm not sure they would even recognize that. [cont, but its alot]

This isn’t even just a trans issue though. It can also effect cis men. Also, don’t exactly like being separated from cis men. I’ll be having a conversation, sometimes a debate. And they’ll misremember something I said. Even trying to gaslight me into believing their memory of the conversation.

I’m not talking days later, but within the same conversation.

I feel like a lot of people are just talking on autopilot instead of being present and focusing on the conversation itself. It’s frustrating and kinda makes me wanna start recording conversations…
