I mean, OP was kind of asking for it. Didn't even give context as to what the hell this is.

My eulogy to Dr. Fart

Dr. Fart, was a prankster, a funny guy, every one of his comments on YouTube made my day. He really did master the art of mocking people that take comedies too seriously. But now, he's no longer with us.

I was there when Dr. Fart was born, I've been watching him since he was born, laughing at all the funny posts he made.

I remember when I first saw posts from Dr. Fart and thought "Hmm, this guy seems to be good at finding all the comments from somebody, is there some website to search someone's comments that I don't know about?" That was one of my top posts, then I saw that it was a user from here doing it, and I was touched to see how much someone cares to keep this subreddit alive.

And as the months went by, the funny jokes keep coming and making fun of the super seriousness of it continues. But then, on what seemed like a normal day, he was just gone. Deleted off of Reddit in a blink. Now I don't know the fate of this subreddit, but if one thing is to remain certain...

God bless Dr. Fart and long live r/superseriousfamilyguy

May Dr. Fart's influence live on in the hearts of all of us.

Freeze Frame today

How does someone mess up that bad to guess like $1400? It's just infuriating. I don't care if you thought it was $14,000, that's why you have to stay focused and pay attention.

Why do Jax fans want him to be trans so bad?

Because if he were trans, his representation is such a stereotypical representation of trans people, it feels like something a bigot would write about a trans person. Just think about, he was abused by his mother for seemingly attempting to come out as such, he freaks out after telling his secret to somebody (which is assumed to be that he's trans, when in reality it's that he thinks he killed his mom), he freaks out when he's in feminine scenarios, and he commits basically suicide in the finale (A trans person commiting suicide? How original!). These are the exact kind of stereotypes I would imagine bigots making for trans people. Him being trans would just give bigots more to work with on top of all the shitty things he did, can't he just be a femboy or something? These fans really want him to be trans after all this?

I get that many trans people have a rough transition, and I understand that, but that doesn't excuse how cliche it all feels. I still can't believe this was all wrote by a transgender woman, it's just sad.

What's happened to The Amazing Digital Circus is sad

I know this has been a million times, but damn, it's still very sad what's happened to TADC in the past week. I don't even know where to begin, it's all just so sad how this show's reputation has fallen. With the destruction of Jax, rushed character arcs and revelations, manipulative writing, trans Jax debates, countless unanswered questions, lack of payoff, the amount of plot conveniences, division of the fandom, the shitty ending, and a FUCK-ton of other things. I just can't look at this show the same way again.

I'm back, you guys were right. (Spoilers for Episode 9)

Hey everyone! Remember me? I was the Jax fan who called you all media illiterate for calling him an abuser and who downplayed Jax's actions. But after watching Episode 9, it turns out that you guys were right all along after all. I will now rant about how horribly written he was in The Last Act compared to what was established earlier, he could have been saved, but no, Gooseworx bullshit happened.

I was really hoping Jax actually had a good reason for his actions, but NOPE, it's all because of mommy issues (how cliche!) and the fact that Kaufmo was nearby when he was telling Ribbit his story, and somehow that makes him decide to push Ribbit away and tell Kaufmo not to trust her? What the fuck? Do you want us to like him or not Goose?

And you know what, if I was responsible for one of my friends abstracting, I would do my best to be there for my other friends, Jax pushing everyone away doesn't even make sense anymore considering what happened between him and Ribbit. He should want to be there for him so he doesn't have to worry about a Ribbit incident happening again. And if they ask a personal question? Just say no! Goddamn...

And I'll be honestly, there was something agonizing about this episode, and it was definitely in the scene in Jax's mind where Gangle is planning Zooble's funeral and he gets all freaky with her. Just... what the fuck?

I also really dislike how much time was wasted on his backstory, all for it to amount to nothing even when he wants to go back (hell he might have actually been saved if it weren't for a goddamn flashbang and if Zooble waited a little longer). Gooseworx, do you like him or not?

And rather or not you like Jax, his death scene sucked, I actually thought that was a previously abstracted person who got out of the cellar after everything started falling apart, they just had to off him offscreen like that. If I was making a self-insert character for my show, I would make his death much better.

And then the ending... oh god the ending. The ending where they basically keep his corpse as a pet inside a big-ass tent is just hilarious, he did basically nothing in the series to earn this level of respect, and it's just plain sad. Just... goddamn this ending pisses me the fuck off.

No wonder they were so ambiguous about whether or not he's trans in the real world, because if he was explictly trans in the end, I bet a lot of people would call bullshit on this bad representation of trans people, and other people would use this to make trans people look bad. And to think this was all made by a trans woman, how sad, way to represent your minority especially during times like these.

So yeah, I don't know what the fuck Gooseworx was thinking, but she ruined Jax, she built him up as a bad person capable of redemption in episodes 7 and 8, and just threw it all away and made his backstory bullshit. Is this who Gooseworx really is? Because I would never write a self-insert character if my life was like that. What the fuck was she smoking?

You guys were right, I'm sorry, Jax is ruined, TADC is ruined, and I'm sad because I really wanted to like the finale and for Jax to become a better person, but because of this and a bunch of other bullshit in the episode, it was fucked. Jax could have been a great character, but he became the victim (and this is the only thing he was ever a victim of) of the atrocious writing Gooseworx did on the finale. I cannot look at TADC the same way again. I'm sorry for threatening to report this subreddt, it was a joke, but still. I hope you all can forgive me. Gooseworx has lost my respect, and I just hope Micheal Kovach moves on from working with her. Man, what a mess the show created for the ending we got, just depressing.

Thank you.

The Last Act review

I literally just finished watching it, so this is a little hasty.

I'm going to come clear and say I was an exit believer, and I did not like the SOMA theory. I was against it ever since I've heard about it, fearing being let down if it were true (it didn't help that many of the SOMA theorists I've encountered were assholes, which meant that by the time I got to non-asshole SOMA theorists, I didn't care anymore), so I would argue against it and raise my concerns to that kind of ending (like what really happened to C&A? How's the computer still running? What's with Caine acting like he's hiding something? And wouldn't Kinger have remembered sooner, or would have known when he got into the circus?). I went into The Last Act hoping they would handle it well so I could happily accept it and surprise surprise...

It didn't. They just move on from it after like 5 minutes to focus on Jax's backstory. And then in the end, in a attempt to save the lack of focus and the letdown of this revelation, they show the real humans living a good life to make us feel better. I've seen enough bad media to recognize manipulative writing, and that's what this feels like to me.

Moving on from the SOMA theory, I want to talk about Jax, now I forsaw his death episodes back, but I never thought his abstraction would be this underwelming (I actually thought that was one of the previously abstracted people who got out), and we learn all that backstory about Jax and Pomni attempting to save him just for nothing to happen? Man, what a waste of most of the episode.

I am also not a fan of Caine surviving. Don't get me wrong, I love Caine, but he had what happened to him coming and he brought it on himself, that's what makes his death sad. But now we are just realizing that the void is just a "recycle bin" in a way and then has a rushed redemption arc that you would expect from modern Hollywood slop.

There's probably dozens of other things I could nitpick about this finale, but these are my biggest problems. But if I had to give one, I would say...

What's up with the Moon at the end?

The only thing that really saved it for me was some funny jokes (especially the Abstratedy one in the credits), Pomni and Ragatha's scene (even though it feels like it was added in for fan service) and some parts of Jax's backstory (like the story of his parents). That's it.

The word I would use to describe Episode 9 is "rushed". They focused too much on Jax, not enough on the other characters and the revelation of them being brain scans. The ending too happy as well, with Caine becoming good and they can all do whatever they want in the circus, that was one concern I had of the SOMA theory being true too, that the ending would be too good, too dull, or too sad.

So yeah, I was not a fan, I really wanted to like it, but I was just let down in the end. I'm sad that I didn't like it, TADC was the show that got me into indie shows, so for it to have a letdown of an ending is sad to me. What do you think?

Naughty Dog's steep decline is depressing

I know I've said this before, but amid the lack of Naughty Dog news at State of Play's and online, I will say it again. The fall of Naughty Dog is really sad. Neil and everyone else responsible has turned the company that use to make amazing and beloved games multiple times a generation into one that cares more about public relations, reputation, and sensitivity rather than actually making games.

What makes it sad is that they don't even seem to care. They let the toxic haters who saw the Part 2 leaks and sent death threats become the face of all Part 2 haters, making Neil and a couple other people make fun of all the criticism and acting like it's justified because of the vocal minority of toxic ones. Another thing that sucks is that they use the LGBTQ and feminism in the game to mock haters of the game, which led to many fans doing that too, using minorities to shield valid criticisms is not the right thing to do, it's just pathetic that Neil and Halley done stuff like that as it's a bad influence. Just unprofessional.

I also find all of this funny too, they created a game all about letting go from revenge and understanding perspectives, yet they can't let go from people not liking the game even when it's obvious why they would. Hell, they are so butthurt about the negative feedback on the game (and definitely the show as well, but I'm mainly focusing on Naughty Dog) that they have to keep wasting valuable resources at Naughty Dog to update the game with stuff like Chronological mode and attempt to save it with Neil and Halley's "clever interpretations" of Part 2 and even the first game, rather than work on new games and how they can improve them, no wonder Intergalactic hasn't had an update in 2 1/2 years.

That being said, the management of the company must be fucking atrocious, I start to wonder how Sony has let it gone on for so long. Say what you will about live-service games, but Factions 2 being cancelled when it was nearly done, having been hyped for years, and coming off of the sucess of the first game's multiplayer is just brutal, especially for the employees who spent years on the game. And to think it's all because Bungie told them not to make it, how sad, I bet they just did that because they knew Factions 2 would take attention away from their "awesome and original" Marathon game. Don't get me started on the crunches either, I'm fully convinced the leaks were by a disgruntled employee from all the time crunches, and the hacker story was made up by Neil as a big PR stunt. It's no wonder the company has lost so many people in the last decade, I bet Evan Wells just had enough of Neil's shit and just fucking gave up.

As time goes by, the decline of Naughty Dog is looking more and more apperant, especially with the lack of trailers or news about their future, and the bad reputation they have garnered since the Part 2 leaks. It's sad because all this could have been avoided if the directors weren't insecure and unprofessional assholes who can't understand the concept of a "vocal minority". This is how you kill your brand and lose your goodwill with the industry and Sony, it's all their fault (and Sony's too for letting it go on for so long). So yeah, it's rough man.

Apologies to the Jax haters and my thoughts on some of the characters

I realize that I was becoming a toxic Jax fan, and that people are getting the wrong idea about me, that ends now. I apologize for threatening to report your subreddits and harassing you for not liking Jax, I originally did all this to troll extremely toxic Jax haters, but it got the better of me and I ended up harassing the ones who aren't so toxic.

I don't find Jax to be a good or bad person, I think he's a (I know you don't like hearing this) morally grey person. I find that if he was truly bad, he would do the things he does all for pleasure and enjoyment, but it's actually a coping mechanism. It's not even about just Ribbit and Kaufmo, it's about whatever bad stuff happened to him in the real world too, people have different reactions to traumatizing situations and this happened to be Jax's reaction, a painful one, but still a reaction regardless. That being said, there's still some good in him, like that time in the Pilot where he saved Kinger and Gangle (yes, Gangle, the one he bullies the most) from abstracted Kaufmo by sending them down The Zooble Hole before he arrived, saving them from getting really hurt by Kaufmo. If he were bad, I don't think he would have done that and he would have just left them to get torn apart. I feel that by understanding Jax, we can understand the causes of bullying and not to judge someone by their cover, because you don't know what they are going through in their mind.

As for Ragatha, I like her too and I wish the show treated her better. Yeah she doesn't always have the best moments and can make mistakes; but at least she means well, does what she can to make up for her mistakes, and offers more positivity than the other circus members despite her rough life in the real world with her abusive mother (I mean, there's a reason she lasted so long in the circus). I feel like if the show were to have more episodes, they would be to flesh out her story, because she's not a bad person, she's a strong woman who survived abuse and almost a decade in the circus, and I think we should give her more love for that.

And for Pomni, I don't consider her an enabler for Jax, after her experience with Jax in Episode 6, she saw who Jax really was and wanted him to become that person again and ditch his harmful coping mechanism. I also find that she doesn't want to look biased in most cases, which is why she doesn't shit on Jax with the rest of the gang.

If not for an ending where they leave the circus, I at least wish for all the circus members to have closure on their stories and for them to be become better people.

As for the toxic Jax haters, I hope they can improve from their toxic behaviors and accept why people like him, on top of not wishing violence or harm onto him. I also hope they learn not to go to posts and comments I made on unrelated subreddits just to tell me Jax is not a good character, as well as not call out my posts without censoring my name. It's just not cool.

So yeah I just wanted to open up about how I feel about the characters and to apologize for my toxic behavior, I can't let myself stand in the way of the marriage between the two subreddits. Thank you for reading.

Something the haters forgot

What more could I say? It's obvious something very horrible happened if he didn't want to leave in Episode 7. The haters know this is bad, so they ignore it and downplay his troubles.

Something the haters don't get about Jax

I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I had this thought. What if the reason Jax bullies Gangle more than anyone else is because he sees himself in her, he sees a person who is just as depressed as he is inside, and he doesn't want to relate too much to her and form a bond with her over that, so he pushes her away more than the others. It's sad to think about, but that's a very likely reason to me. What do you think?
