What song is this? It’s from the Chicago concert.
I know this song but I cannot remember the name.

What positions, grade and location did you apply for?
I’m not familiar with the GS pay scale. I’m currently an I-band and applied to another federal agency that’s uses a GS pay scale. From google, an I band equivalent is a GS-13, but I’m pretty sure I lack the experience for that pay grade so I checked GS 11/12.
Does this decrease my odds of getting hired? Or is this good sign that I was referred for a higher grade?
I was hoping for a lower grade.
I went into the bike shop looking to buy an FX1 large but the sales person talked me into an XL saying that im in the middle and if he were me he would go with the larger size. I’m new to biking so I trusted him and bought the XL.
I rode it for one mile the same day, didn’t like the two handle gear switching mechanism so i went back the next day to exchange it for an FX 2 and asked for it in a large because in the XL I was having trouble touching the ground with my two feet when stationary (from YT I now realize that’s normal). He said he could lower the seat for the XL, and the XL would also allow me to sit more upright and ride more comfortable (I’m told him this is for casual riding), so I bought the FX2 XL.
The issue is today i went on a 5 mile ride today and it felt that at times i had to be hunched over to reach the handle bars. Being hunched over felt like it made it difficult to bend my neck and look straight.
Could i change somethings around on the bike to fix this? I feel bad taking this bike back a 2nd time for an exchange. There’s a 7 day window with my lbs for a return (I have 3 more days to decide).
There was suppose to be a block party in uptown but it never happen? What happen?
I’m from the US and usually play North American servers. I’ve been doing solo Stella runs brining in nothing but a flue to have fun and mess around but decided to switch to European servers because I thought it would be cool to meet people from around the world but holy cow is it toxic there.
Compared to NA servers people dont really talk in EU servers. In the US I may run into 1 or 2 rats and everyone gains up on those rats. In EU there are far more rats and the people you’re following around turn into rats the moment another rat comes in and knocks you. If anyone sees a purple gun on your back good luck getting a defib. In EU it just feels like they’re eying the guns on your back too see if you’re worth ratting.
Running in squads is even worst. Your teammates are toxic AF especially if your teammates are kitted and you bring in a free kit or mess up. Expect to hear how trash you are lol they also don’t COMM at all. Most of my matches no one talks.
I met some really cool raiders in EU but nothing compared to NA.
I only play Stella (PVE solos, PVP fill squad). Other maps may vary.
I applied to a position within my department for a promotion (under the same manager). I know my two other coworkers also applied. My manager said they would be reaching out to schedule interviews. We were all referred but only two of us got called to schedule an interview.
The 3rd person has not been contacted yet. What does this mean? On paper and experience they should have qualified. Me and the other person no longer want the promotion, so I assumed the 3rd person was going to get the promotion since they really wanted it. It’s been two weeks since my manager had said that.
They’re worried about not getting an interview and I’m worried we are going to get someone from a different department. Is the hiring manager just slow to reach out? Is an interview not required?
I’m a ME with 6 years experience working as an engineer in the government sector (5 years installation, 1 year project engineering).
I do nothing ME related are now mainly a paper pusher project engineer working in the RF world.
I want to use a masters in MechE to help transition into the Aerospace industry doing MechE work, but not sure how much it would help with this or if an in person masters would help more.
A Recruiter from a large DOD contractor reached out to schedule an interview with me for an RF mechanical engineering position. I went through the recruiter interview and was curious about the position but she said those would be good questions to ask the hiring manager.
Just trying to get more info about what an RF MechE would do. I can’t find much about this position.
For reference I’m a mechanical engineer working as an electronics engineer in RF and fiber optics industry (more on the project engineering side).
I declined a promotion for a lead engineering position. My manager and my managers manager “offered it to me”several months ago. I was pretty excited. Fast forward a few months while waiting to be “interviewed” I went into my managers office and asked to withdraw my application from consideration siting “personal reasons.” My manager took it well but i could tell he was obviously concern.
The real reason is because my future counterpart has become very difficult to work with. The past month he’s been berating other engineers in front of everyone for their lack of knowledge. He’s been openly annoyed about the questions engineers ask during meetings and constantly cuts them off to stop them from asking questions. He’s always been like this since I started, but over the last year it’s gotten worst. This guy is untouchable though. He’s smart, hardworking and has such a choke hold on our group that our manager does nothing.
I applied for a lead engineering position that I’m certain I am going to get if I continue with the process (my manager already offered it to me before the bid came out). The status on the application is currently as referred.
How do I withdraw? I no longer want to be considered for the position. Also, how bad does this look if I withdraw my application after being referred? Im sure if I pass it up my co worker is going to get it, which is fine with me.
I had a phone interview with a dream aerospace company. The interview was at 4:00pm but I had thought it was at 4:30pm. He called at 4:03, 4:06 and I missed both of those calls. I then called back at 4:09 and apologized. We continued with the 30 minute interview and he was very friendly but the lateness threw me off the whole interview.
How bad did I screw this up?
