Hey everyone. My grandfather was recently diagnosed with cancer of the liver. Do any of you know anything that could help? Be it a silver bullet, or just something to ease treatment? {Edit}Added Context: My grandfather was diagnosed a couple of weeks back, but it was believed to be a single tumor, that could be easily removed. He was opened up today, and it turns out that in addition to the larger tumor, there are about a dozen smaller ones of a unknown type. This made it impossible to cut the cancer out, as there wouldn't be enough liver left over to be surviveable. There are still tests being done on the new tumors, but his surgeon believes that the treatment for them, probably chemo or radiation, would be survivable, and tack on another decade or more of life. Unfortunately, I have seen a lot of situations where that sort of treatment can be just as bad as the disease.

Far as anybody can tell, the cancer was not brought on by bad habits or anything in particular. He doesn't drink heavily, etc. It was mostly a matter of chance.
