Noticed the dryer vent behind the (electric) dryer has a big gap. Is this something you hire someone to fix, and what kind of person?

Noticed the dryer vent behind the (electric) dryer has a big gap. Is this something you hire someone to fix, and what kind of person?

Is this something a general handyman could do (or even a reasonably competent homeowner)? Can it be repaired at the gap or does the entire pipe need to be replaced? I appreciate your help

Can any super cool person tell me what was in series 4 of the Herrschners plastic canvas club?

I’m super curious! I just order series 1-3 after enjoying a smaller christmas village kit

How do you know whether you need to go to the doctor, when you’ve had symptoms your whole life?

I’ve had symptoms my whole life, including the Concerning ones (i.e. blood in stool). About ten years ago, I got every test under the sun done (upper endoscopy, gastric motility, colonoscopy, blood tests), and they concluded there wasn’t anything wrong with me other than stress + IBS. While I had a GI bleed (not hemorrhoids or a fissure), they never located the source and wouldn’t repeat testing.

Over the last year, I switched from IBS-C to IBS-D and started throwing up. However, the throwing up is very very directly tied to stress and I had a bad year (living in Minneapolis during ICE occupation and a health scare that ended up being a benign tumor).

If I go to the doctor, and describe these symptoms, won’t they see that I have IBS and anxiety and tell me it’s nothing?

Will I be able to get approved for a colonoscopy in my early 30s when I already have an IBS diagnosis?

Also- as nutty as this sounds, there is something demoralizing about getting a bunch of negative, expensive tests.

By decommissioning Minnehaha dog park, they are not removing dogs from sacred land. They are allowing dogs to occupy that land for free.

For those of you who do not know, Minnehaha Dog Park is being decommissioned and turned into a regular park, as an archeological survey found the land is more sacred than originally thought.

They aren’t forbidding dogs or giving the land back to the Dakota tribe. They are just requiring a leash. Dogs will then not need an off leash permit to go to the park. They will continue to go to the park, for free.

Furthermore, if money is not spent enforcing this rule, no one is going to follow it. So now it’s the exact same park, but people don’t pay to use it.

I have seen arguments regarding whether their interpretation of the study is correct, and their duty to create an alternative site before decommissioning, as well as a lot of appeal to emotion. But, what is more of an issue for me is that they’re not accomplishing their stated goal.
