My husband had to work a 10 hour shift today so there were no plans for Mother's day. MIL knew this 2 weeks in advance and he told her that he would take her out another day. Earlier, I sent her a quick text; "Happy Mother's Day"
She just responded hours later with; "(husband's name) should find a job where he does not have to work on sundays, he can do so much better"
I am not responding.
This job helps support our family. I work also but I have the weekends off. His hours are crazy but that's our reality and we appreciate what we have.
thank you for reading, I just wanted to vent. I have limited contact with her but I still send her texts on her birthday and mother's day.
