A gift from a friend.

Hi haworthia parents, I am seeking some sage advice please :)

We were gifted what I believe to be a Haworthiopsis limifolia a few years ago and it was pretty much as you see her now. There hasn't been much in terms of growth until this year when I think she has a baby appearing?

She is currently in some kind of potting mix and on a west facing windowsill.

Am I doing anything wrong, what does she need changing to thrive?

Thanks in advance for your help!

My baby is in recovery!! 🙏

Following on from my earlier post...

So with a brave face and a dram of Speyside malt, I took the plunge!

Here's hoping I did okay by her and she and her babies flourish! ♥️

This is a step by step of what I did for reference.

I cut the main stem near(ish) to the bottom hoping it will grow some new stems.

Trimmed off the leaves from the stem with a knife.

I am propegating these all in rain water and will leave them on the east facing kitchen windowsill which these days gets a fair few hours of sunlight.

The mommy was what I would call quite rootbound, so I broke them up a bit from what soil was left and then put her in a slightly larger terracotta pot with some fresh succulent mix.

She is back in a different window where she seemed happy(ish) before, also east facing.

Gave the soil a good soak through with rainwater and let the excess drain through, won't water now for quite a while.

WWYD? My Pilea isn't dead but could be better...

So, I'm amazed this plant is still alive, but I haven't yet found a spot where it is truly thriving. I would like it to be less leggy and have more leaves like I am seeing here.

  1. I am thinking to cut the main stem and propegate that.

  2. Repot it as the soil seems to have compacted quite alot.

  3. Put it under some newly obtained grow lights and not over/under water it.

Do you think this would work?

Or what would you do if this was your baby?

So many babies!! 🥺♥️

I always end up with a few babies from plants in the past, but this is so many I'm not sure what to do with them all.

Just had a count, that's 6 offshoots 🥲

Any suggestions from my fellow spider plant parents what to do with grandchildren of the plant variety?

Moved house, advice needed for my Monstera!

Hello Monstera parents, I acquired this baby last year from our local supermarket not really understanding what I was getting myself into.

We have recently moved house and this is the location we would like it, it's a west facing window so would get some light (I will get a grow light as I feel it would benefit) I would like it to grow upwards and fill this space between the display cabinets and lamp rather than outwards.

How do I get it to grow upwards, as you can see it started crawling and doesn't really know which way it's going, I got a Coor pole for it but I feel as if I am forcing it and I don't want to break it.

Also, do I have like 4 Monstera in this pot??

What would you do with this baby?

Thanks in advance for any advice and tips! :)
