For the past month I've been excited and counting down until this beautiful boy was here! He came from winter bell hamstery in Tennessee and EEEE HES SO CUTE!

So, my first hamster marshmellow was a roboroski! I had been begging my parents for a hamster for forever and they said they chose the fattest one so she wouldn't run away (she really was rather round hehe)
Anyways for being a robo she was very very chill with being held and never bit my prying 1st /2nd grade hands
!!Please keep in mind 2nd grade me did NOT choose these enclosure and didn't like it then either (was a hopping hammy lover heheh i miss that channel)!!
But yeah I miss her she was sweet, very good first experience!

To start this off I want to say I am so happy with how much the hamster care community has changed in the past few years! And that I am all for the changes but I am just wondering
Who decides the Minimums? Whenever I started getting into hamsters in 2017 as a little kid I remember it being 360 (yikes) sq inches, and then it went to 450 (yikes) and then to 600, and now it is 800! I was just wondering where this all comes from and how it is decided? I cant find much online but I am very curious!
So my friends and I were hiking today! Super nice was super beautiful out! On the way home we spotted this beautiful baby on the side of the road and stopped over. sHe RAN right up to us and was wanting to he touched and held. This was on the side of the road, not on a trail or anything so Im guessing SHE was dropped off there by some shitty person.
Ive went out and bought all the basic needs, and SHE has a vet appointment on the 18th! Also thankfully my friend has rats so, I was able to borrow his carrier, and get a few things from him
I was just wondering if there's anything else I should do. SHes very friendly and is eating, and drinking. Currently hes asleep in the tube hehe
Also. I hate people why would anyone ever drop off such a beautiful rat on the side of the road! UGH

So basically I bought this thinking oh! It looks super nice and its well above the minimum! (Its 800+ sq inches) However it was EXTREMELY CHEAPLY MADE! Which of course pawhut is known for. While I wasnt home my cat was able to get into my room and knock down the front window panel and got my hamster Ribbit.
Now by some miracle he is still alive, and was completely fine but oh my goodness I cant even describe how terrifying it was. My sister called me because she was the only one home and I could barely get myself to walk into the door, as I was fearing the worst.
Also, cats are not allowed in my room. I think since she was watching my little siblings one of them must have opened my door and let him in.
Also thankfully I had a cage set up already for the hamster im getting in a month, so I didnt have to put him in his travel cage. Ill attach a photo of his set up too.
Unfortunately that cage is also a pawhut .. safe to say im done buying from that brand but it will be fine for now
I have really been struggling to get Ribbit tamed. He is cool with being held as long as theres plenty of food on my hand but when it comes to touching him, he hates it! I dont know what to do because I noticed an odd bump on his nose, and its hard to get a closer look when he is still so Anti touch. I have been taking things very slowly with him, and don't ever force hold him, its just frustrating because ive had him for like 3 months and I need to make sure he is doing ok
So, I noticed a small black speck on Ribbits nose but I dont know why, I thought maybe he was just changing in his colors. Unfortunately he really doesnt like being handled or held, so until today I hadn't been able to get a close look at it. Obviously it looks like some type of like, cut or something but I have no clue in my cage what might have caused it; I will be taking him to the vet soon but I want advice in case anyone else has had anything similar and how it went.
Also, with ribbit being extremely anti human, will it even be possible for the vet to do anything? I dont know I am so worried for my boy
IM NOT ASKING FOR MEDICAL ADVICE! Just to make that clear, I just want to know if others have been in similar situations where their hamster only likes Interacting when foods involved and, if things like this go away
So i currently have 1 robo hamster Ribbit who I love! However, since ribbit was my first dwarf in awhile, I realized how much I also missed having a syrian!
I am getting him from a breeder in tennesee, called winter bells hamstery, its the same place I got my hamster who passed named Harissa!

cake mousee and not your mothers gel.
I diffuse it and then sleep with it in a bun!
Sometimes ill put it in a bonnet too? I use a little claw clip to keep volume
ANYWAYS! I have always been obsessed with hair care, just wanted my hair to be long, shiny and PERFECT! I kinda always knew I probably had curls but, I didn't want to do that and tried to force it into being straight. (not a good idea i was always so stressed about how frizzy my hair was/felt)
Anyways I had a friend who was like "girl u need to do something about this you definitely have curly hair" because she would do my hair for me a lot and I was like oh well why not!
So i asked my friends who have curly hair what they do and I started just with not your mothers curl cream, then I added the she moisture mousse and gel. I didnt really like the shea moisture mousse or the not your mothers curl cream as I felt it weighed down my hair, so I started using this "cake mousse" and just the gel
ANYWAYS over the past several months I have noticed so much progress and just wanted to share because i just wanted to quit when I first started. I didnt think itd be worth all the effort lol
Hi, I am currently in Highschool and I know more than anything I want to be a teacher. I have had so many great teachers over the years, I can only hope to be half as great as them however
I am really scared, with all the budget cuts and everything being done right now for those in the education field, and already growing up rather poor I am not sure what to do.
I know I want to be a teacher but I dont know if that desire is worth the fear I face regarding being financially stable
Next year I am participating in a Career program as well for teaching.
So my mom gave me this book as a gift but lowkey it looks very odd. The front page is very fuzzy and as you can see theres not a back... For page numbers instead of saying the page it is 1/160

So, my hamster is super small and his poop is too. I have never had a hamster with poop soso small. He mostly poops in his sand. The thing is it is difficult to clean it because GENUINELY it is like 1/4 of thr size of syrian poop and it is in SAND!!!! Any ideas? Picking it out individually is very difficult as well

I unfortunately think my boy is just too small for this wheel. I switched him back to his Wodent Wheel.
I think the materials were just too heavy for him and it could've broken his back
As a whole I think nite angels ARE AMAZING!!! like seriously this wheel was suchh nice quality and I will definitely use it in the future, but for smaller hamsters I do not recommend it
