Stating that she didn't choose to be like this (a monster). Now of course she could have been lying to build trust to gain entry to colony house, but it also makes you wonder what really happened when the children were sacrificed. Should we feel sympathy for them? Is there anyway to redeem them or free them from their curse?

I hope this is allowed here. I have been wearing contact lenses for about 20 years now and I've been using this specific brand for quite a few years. Over the past year or so (including today) I've been having issues when I put in my new months contacts. I would say at least 2-3 contacts per 6pack box will have some sort of defect. Either it will be very blurry or very uncomfortable, or both. Today I had one that was very painful.
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason. Sometimes it's the left eye, sometimes it's the right.
It's incredibly frustrating and stressful opening a new pair and not knowing if I'll even be able to wear them. On top of that, they're monthly contacts, so each one is expensive. Is this a common issue with the brand or an issue with my eyes? Is it time for me to switch to something else?

So after this recent episode we see what Sophia does to trigger the voices in Sarah's head. And that's what I think the MiY actually did: triggered them or communicated with the source of the voices.
Perhaps the MiY is only one of multiple voices that Sarah hears. After all, in season 2 she said "they're laughing at you for bringing it back to town." Meaning there is more than one.
The main reason I don't think the voice she heard in this episode was actually Sophia was because Sophia comes down the stairs to Sarah while Sarah is still hearing the voices.
So perhaps that whispering we see Sophia doing was actually her communicating with the other "voices" and telling them what to see say to Sarah.
