Just finished Valkyria Chronicles 3 (ENG patch) for the first time in 2026

So earlier today I just finished V3 and wanted to share my thoughts and experiences. First and foremost, I loved the story. The starting hook of being charged with treason, overcoming suicidal/impossible tasks, and not getting recognized for any of it. I could feel the struggle and for that I give two thumbs up.

From here on I'll mentioning minor spoilers like characters and gameplay but just in case there's the warning ⚠️

The Nameless are a very colorful bunch. (Maybe my favorite group?) Personal favorites, the main trio of Kurt, Reila, and Imca. Alphonse, Leila, Annika, Gloria, Guilo, Serge and both tank operators. Could go in depth but unless anyone asks I could go on and on about these guys haha but pretty much these are the most noteworthy characters and hardcarried my runs. Much better than VC2 cast imo.

Now for the gameplay, holy moly. I got some thoughts to give you guys lol its fun but I suffered 😂

some context: Normal Mode. I always go for S Ranks (120ish S ranks), completed all free missions, chose option B every time for story missions. If I can find them, I try to kill the Ace + S Rank. If not, S Rank is more important to me.

One major con I feel is because of the limitations of the PSP you replay a lot of maps from VC2. Kinda stinks but at least you'll know the maps like the back of your hand. Later on you will see more of the new ones but also later on you'll be seeing some real cancerous maps to S Rank. One of my least favorite objectives is "kill all enemies" because of the freakin guys hiding in the grass! The Recon Order is a top priority just because of these guys. Classes and units got reworked too. I noticed that Fencers & Commandos (flamethrowers) got nerfed. Fencer used to be basically invincible in VC2 and Flamethrowers dont nearly 1 shot as much in this game. So they dont dominate nearly as much this time. The Calamity Ravens maps near the end will test you, be prepared to reset a lot going in blind. My main tank setup is WORKER/UTILITY APC - FLAMETHROWER & MG - FLEX UTILITY BASED ON WEATHER CONDITIONS - SIDE ARMOR - MEDIUM CARGO(One lancer, One Flex like Engineer/Shock/Fencer). This doesnt always work but 90% of the time its what I recommend. There are missions where the enemy will go first, thats the 10% you do NOT want to deploy the APC or just run the MEDIUM/HEAVY Tank.

That's about all the things I can think of right now. If anyone has any questions I'll be happy to answer them in regards to this game. Otherwise thank you for reading!

Gamestop B2G1 3DS SMT Haul

Was able to find 3DS Altus SMT games in the wild, I believe these prices are somewhat over or on par with market but with pro buy 2 get 1 free thats happening right now I believe this is a good deal.

My local gamestop told me that the games were from maybe the warehouse and just came in last week. Possibly new but gutted so their basically like new, dont know how believable this is.

Long story short, B2G1 sale going on right now, check out the 3DS section for CiB SMT games. Thanks for reading!

Red Slash Mark on Disc Label?

So I recently bought Xenosaga on ebay and checked that theres this mark on my disc. Tried rubbing it off with a micro cloth and alcohol but it doesn't fade at all. Starting to think it's not a marker or a stain. Is it some kind of manufacturing misprint? I checked other posts and it doesnt seem like this is normal for this game.

It works just fine for now but I heard that I should be careful with damages on the label side of my disc. Anyone else have anything like this?

Any recommendations for jobs?

I did write down Cyber Security but besides that I'm not really sure what else I would go for. Personally I would like a job with decent work/life balance so I can make use of the CCAF.

My recruiter needs me to pick 10 at the minimum so anything you guys suggest I would really appreciate.

Buying back my childhood

I've been lurking around for a while now, and I've seen some amazing posts. I was inspired, so I got around to organizing and finally present everything I own! Before you ask, yes. Everything you see before you has been own by someone else. I did own pokemon games in the past but I sold everything for pennies to support myself financially.

In 2025, I feel I officially got my life together. Better job, great family, everything paid off. The only thing thats missing is the one thing I was forced to give up. My Pokemon addiction. The envy I feel to all of you that didn't sell off anything lol

Hope you enjoy my collection, Its been quite a journey up to this point building up from zero. I admit I don't have all the games but the dedication is real! I will ~~catch~~ purchase them all!

$5 PS4 Deadpool pancakes 🥞

Really happy with my most recent find, sadly not complete in box but will very likely buy the boxart sometime down the road.

Love that the disc is a plate of pancakes tho! Smells like victory!

Amazing value for the $35 promotion

Tried to get $10 off on the collector products, and yes these items count! Stickers weren't on there but they are marked down to $35. Both deals stack 🔥

Mario RPG and Suikoden are epic pickups as well.

Check your stores guys.

Into the Yakuza collection you go

Didn't get it for a super insane price deal but was happy all the same to find it in my local game store. You never know, could be considered a crazy pickup one day.

Just in the nick of time! Collected every card from Saja Breakfast Meals and Huntrix Meals. Finished the day the promotion ended. Congratulations Huntrix 🎊

(Some noteworthy things from journey)

Trades and gambling meals only, really stubborn about buying market prices. Everything roughly cost the same as buying the cards outright ($200ish) except gambling meals filled the fridge with crazy amount of "food" for the month. Bought everything through the app also so alot of points for stuff before I cut off mcdonalds again

Regular Jinu was my final card. This dude was so hard to pull for some reason lol I had plenty of the other boys but zero regular Jinus. Demon Jinu was also quite hard. But I was able to get him before Jinu. Bought wayy more Saja meals. Like 70% Saja/ 30% Huntrix. Crazy work.

Buying multiple meals in one go was really bad in my experience. I feel like some stores didnt shuffle packs so there were times the dupes I got were all the same. I got 4 meals, all Mira. 4 meals, all huntrix. On the flip side of that, I got a god round one breakfast morning. 4 saja meals but with huntrix packs? Was gonna ask to switch them till I checked the codes on the back. 4 Rujinu. Pure Dopamine.
