This moron was driving one of these souped-up, relatively cheap bikes ACROSS THE BRENT SPENCE at rush hour.
He couldn’t get over 35, was holding a phone fully in his left had, all in black, no helmet, etc etc.
What an idiot.
BUT, worst case here, he, alone, gets killed.
The same push-button e-bikers who seem to have just decorative pedals on their bikes, are flying on walking paths downtown sidewalks, and at the parks.
A regular biker in Cincy, I’ve seen them everywhere lately compared to the past.
Last week, I saw two teenagers using the push button only, jumping to airborn at Friendship park OVER THE FREEKING HANDS OF THE LAND SCULPTURE. Wrecking the manicured grass and making ruts in the sculpture.
These guys are going up to 30 on sidewalks meant for strolling. It’s ridiculously dangerous the way they are driving these motorcycles, disguised as bikes.
It’s going to give us responsible bicyclists and e-bikers all a bad name. And hopefully not get real e-bikes banned down there.
I have no idea how to go about nipping this, while keeping must-peddle bike classes the same as regular bikes.
These are just idiots on motorcycles riding on sidewalks where they absolutely do not belong.
…that it must be a mariners tradition, where the sober captain, who didn’t drink, worked all day in the sun for your pleasure, paid for the gas, hauled the ice, trailered the boat, etc etc. automatically gets something special. Basically by law.
Right?
With traffic, especially trucks, this is crazy dangerous.
Additionally, the entirety of this bike path on either side seems to get one annual sweep, versus maybe semi-weekly.
I’ve had four flats along this stretch over three years. Glass and nails are countless.
TLDR: What is the break-even time for installing, and solar-charging our car for about 100 miles per week?
The rooftop is 500sq ft and is almost directly facing upwards, with zero obstructions. It is very slightly tilted to the north by maybe 6 degrees.
Kindly asked, what is the cost, and what is the return?
Details:
500 sq ft
Midwest USA
No obstruction
6 degree northward-tilt of the roof
Zero current wiring.
For this wonderful sub-Reddit, I think I’m asking:
- solar-to-power output of 500sq ft in my area
- after degradation, the power needed for a model y Tesla
-aside: Typical installation costs and any upkeep costs.
TLDR; Basically, what is the break-even for powering the car for 100-miles per week?
with a system that would, hopefully, somehow feed back into the system for other’s benefit.
What would be a cost range?
And what would be the likely savings range? (Cincinnati, OH area).
Very rough ballparks are fine.
Thank you.
This is the craziest package I’ve received so far.
New Mexican opened this week opposite Leapin lLzard on Mainstrasse.
El Carnarito (Lityle Brother).
Dynamite loaded nachos (best I’ve ever had). Excellent spicy margs (could’ve been stronger on the tequila). Delicious burritos the size of your head.
9.5:10.
As you can see, I have no room for a smelter.
Any good ideas?
Found in an antique mall hanging with several costume jewelry necklaces.
Don Fisher owned Zimmer’s in Oakley in the 60-70-80’s, and Auggie’s in Four Seasons marina.
He began Taste of Cincinnati with the concept that the gathering would raise funding for Children’s hospital and other worthy local children’s benefits. Which it did.
It’s kind of moved away from his fundraising dream, but it lives strongly today, as we all know.
Don was forced to move due to family asthma issues and started the Trolley Station restaurants in Sarasota next to Siesta Key.
There, he captained the enormous, international Suncoast Offshore Speed Boat rally to raise funds for hospitalized kids in Florida.
Then, he started the BBQ Blues Bash in Venice to raise funds for handicapped children.
It would be highly fitting for the restaurant community to get something together in appreciation of what he’s done for the Cincy restaurant scene, while he is still with us (hopefully 6 more months).
Can anyone help point me in the right direction?
I don’t know if it’s a plaque I’m after (I’ll pay), or a media story, or what.
I just know that appreciation should be shown for what this great man has done for Cincinnati restaurants as a whole.
All the best. Post or DM any ideas, please.
