love my store but hating the company

Don’t get me wrong, every problem i have with my store is me just being me and not like corporate rules. i still follow them because my SM and ASM are so sweet. I honestly just hate what the company is doing. I see so many people on here loosing their jobs because of the impossible standard that is put on them, The CEO clearly has NO idea what he’s doing. The new peak shit doesn’t work because there’s not enough labor. Everyone seems burnt out and it honestly just really upsets me. I go through none of this at my store (i’m not saying that to flex or anything) but the things i see people going through, the new trainings, the way customers act towards us, how everything is the baristas fault… it just makes me hate my job a little. I didn’t realize why everyone who use to work at starbucks that i know hates it so much. anyway just a little vent. i’m sorry everyone is being put through the wringer. sending love to all my fellow partners

first birthday as a military spouse

wow. this shit fucking sucks and i need to vent. God… so we moved to fl for my husbands school and he had today off. i was really excited. well someone did something and he had a 5am formation. now imagine my anxiety when i wake up at 6am and he’s out cold next to me. yup. his phone died and he missed formation. i hate where we are at so much and i don’t have any friends. i miss my mom and my dad so much and yeah my 16 year old brother is 16 and a teenager but he hasn’t wished me a happy birthday either. my husband got me coffee and flowers which was nice bc last year we didn’t do anything for my birthday… i flew out to see him and welp i cried. i’m crying now because i feel so lonely and what sucks is his birthday is tomorrow. i know im gonna go all out and celebrate like crazy. i just don’t get why people don’t put enough energy into me like i do them… my best friend hasn’t texted me yet either… yeah yeah i have a lot of shitty people in my life and i’m in therapy. i don’t really want yall to remind me. trust i know. i just wish i had a group of girlfriends to celebrate with and have a birthday party. i haven’t had one since i was 17 and it was in boarding school so i had my built in friends to go out with. i just get so disappointed every year and i can’t help but get my hopes up. sonyayayayayaayay happy birthday to me

potty training baby

hi everyone! we just adopted our 10 week old basset hound, Hank, yesterday. i know potty training can be a lot harder with basset hounds so pls i need tips and ideas. we are crate training him and we live in an apartment (only for a few more months then we’re getting a house!!) we tried to take him for a walk today and he decided he liked to lay in the grass more than walk and then went to the bathroom immediately when we went inside… multiple times… we have pee pads by the doors so he can associate that with going outside and we have 1-2 hour timers to take him outside to go potty. we also chose a designated spot right outside to help with routines. Getting PhD while being Active Duty Spouse

Honestly just a quick question, have you or anyone youve known gotten theyre PhD while being active duty? I need to do it in person for psychology. I know sometimes you can ask to extend your duty station but I dont know if they'll aprove it for that long.. Worse case senario hes talked about (im gonna phrase this wrong) doing reserves but on active orders so he can still go to work everyday. Just wanted to know if anyone has gone through this and or theyre advice. Ty in advance.

using the on base gym..

Okay hi everyone i know this is really random. I have my own gym membership at AF fitness but we just PCSed and it’s a lot further than base. also, my husband is going to the gym with me and he can’t go there cause he doesn’t have a membership … i’m a new military spouse and my husband suggested we use the gym on base. here’s the thing, i’m nervous bc im not in shape. i’m on the smaller plus sized spectrum and i feel like everyone in the military is in way better shape. i’m really nervous about that cause i don’t want to be judged or embarrass my husband. i know how to use gym equipment, i have been thinner and muscular a lot of my life i have just been struggling with mental health, moving and not having time for myself anymore. i guess im just asking for reassurance that this is just my insecurity talking and no one really cares? if that’s not the case pls tell me tho 😂

let me preface this first. I have my PCP appointment next week to get set up in therapy. no this is not a trauma dump.

I (19f) been married to my husband (22M) for four months and we just PCSd. Before that I moved to end long distance (almost all of our relationship had been in person since october 24’ i just spent May-November at my parents with week long visits once if not twice a month) so we were only in the state we both originally lived in for two months. confusing ik. I grew up extremely extroverted but after COVID i decided to finish highschool online and move out on my own at 18. that has lead me to loose a lot of social skills and have social anxiety. I know i need to form my own opinions and have my own experiences as a military spouse and i can NOT stereotype other spouses into the online horrors i see. I am scared though. I’m not against being friends with people that are older than me, most my friends are 1-5 years older than me but i do get anxious at the idea of being actual friends (not just friendly) with someone who has kids older than or around the same age. I finally got a few job offers and am deciding tomorrow which one to take so finally i’ll have financial and employment independence. We live off base and i really don’t know how to make any friends. We’re only here for a year (hes MOST) and im starting college at our next station so im hoping to make friends through school. I really don’t know how to get involved in base to meet people. I had never had a friendship or relationship with someone in the military before him. We’ve been together almost two years and i’m still new to everything. I don’t know how to make friends as an adult except through work but my new potential coworkers are twice my age… i even considered going to church for socialization… I would love to make friends my own age but have no idea where to start. I’m not a complete hermit, once i meet someone im good to go. i think im a good friend and social when in the right setting. I want to have independence and a role outside being a wife. I have hobbies but there crafting so mainly indoors 😂. I don’t want to become co dependent on my husband. I want a good support system in person. Looking for any advic, support, ideas.

▲ 5 r/cna

Hi there,
So im a new CNA and new CCMA (got both two months apart) and Ive been applying for both jobs left and right. I got offered a CNA position and I wanted to bounce it off you guys to get your opinion. This would be my first CNA job. Obviously I wont know if its a good job until I work there but based off other experiences/stories Ive heard i wanted to know yall's opinons!

So its not an LTC or Rehab its 1on1 at PT homes. They have an RN and Safety manager do a walk through/intake for the patients and have turned down pts if they feel the CNA's would be unsafe. Im really happy with the pay so thats not an issue and they do flexible schedules. I can do 25-35 hrs/week (what i would want) But you can do up to 40+ (you can pick up shifts) If you take your pt to the dr or anywhere else you get milage reimbursement and if you go from one pt house to another its the same thing. I have a CCMA interview today as well at an urgent care but im kinda worried because I dont like the whole 9-5 M-F gig. Have any of you had a good experience doing 1-1? I also asked them on their safety protocol if a CNA feels unsafe at a home and she said to call the office (someone always picks up) and to leave right away. My long term goal is to be a RN to BSN to NP so I think this will look good on my resume especially when i start working as a RN. What do you think?
