my dada passed away on 20 june, and i dont think he gets it

i took yori to dada in the morning when he had already passed away. i thought i should let him meet dada in case he gets confused about his sudden disappearence. he did not even sniff him. he did not get close to him for the first time in 6 years.

after dada was gone he was sniffing the floor where he was kept on. he kept sniffing his chair and his bed. he sat infront of the house gate till the evening. maybe he was waiting for him to come back.

does he understand where dada went?

ive always been a physical book fan. but recently ive noticed that i dont really have any space to keep my physical books. i love the smell of the paper, i love turning the pages and holding a book. i feel like readin ebooks will tire my eyes (i read fanfiction online so i know).

my bf (21M) and i (20F) have been in a relationship for a few years. he's been nothing but perfect. like the perfect guys everyone imagines. nerved forced me into anything, cares about me and helps me with stuff.

last night he sent me a reel. it was AI generated shit post. he said it was a meme. a huge pigeon in the elevator and 5 ripped black men. i watched the reel but i was confused because my audio was off and i asked him what this reel was about. he said "paping the rigeon" (raping the pigeon). i said i dont like this, im uncomfortable. he said "ok fun police" then proceeded to send me the meme "i hate fun". i said "ya ya im sorry i dont like rape jokes".

he said "its just a meme, its not like if i laugh at it im promoting it". i said "okay but don't you know there are some sickos who'll watch this and start getting ideas? dont you know some people rape dogs, cats, horses or basically ANY animal? so 'memes' like these shouldn't be posted." he said "even if i dont laugh at this, the person who is already thinking of doing this will do this."

atp i was getting frustrated because he couldn't seem to understand why this was uncomfortable to me and he was saying that im "no fun". i said "by your logic rape jokes must also sound funny to you because no matter you laugh or not the crime will be commited almost everyday" he said "no, but some rape jokes are funny if they're not directed towards a person."

i was speechless. i didnt know what to say so i just said "this is not something to be laughed at. rape jokes are not funny no matter what kind. and you can't justify whatever you just said" he said "well dont you laugh at 911 jokes? so many people died then why do you laugh at 911 jokes?"

this went on for like an hour. i thought i could understand why he found the pigeon thing funny. then he proceeded to say that rape jokes are funny. i can't understand him and i dont think i ever will. even if he found this funny he could've said "thats ok if you dont find this funny, i wont send these kind of memes to you" and i wouldve been satisfied but no. he had to make fun of me for finding this uncomfortable and say that.

i cant believe he said this. the person who said he wont force himself on me and never did. the person who said we can wait till marriage if i want. the person who held me in his arms and kissed my forehead while i was crying because we couldn't have sex as i was nervous.

can anyone please tell me if im wrong? our sense of humour is usually the same but i dont fuck around with rape and SA.

TLDR: 'perfect' bf said that some rape jokes are funny and i cant get over this.
