Realized today how many hot July 4 shows I’ve been lucky enough to attend, including this one in Vega$ in 2014, the previous year in Alta, and Rothbury in 2008. Not to be this year, but thinking about y’all who are making these ‘26 shows out West. See you soon!
Hi all. I have a nice floor jack with a rubber puck and jack stands and have successfully lifted all four corners for brake fluid replacement, CVT fluid drain and fill, and tire rotation on my Hondas several times. I've also used the jack at individual corners on my Subarus ('22 and '25) but never done a full lift. Tire rotation coming up though on both as well as eventual CVT & diff fluids. The front crossmember point seems straightforward enough, but it just feels wrong to put that kind of force onto the rear differential. Question - are these recommended lift points "confidence inspiring" once you get the jack in place and started, or do these cars need more dexterity/finesse getting the point lined up just right?
This evening’s pair stands out from the many others that opened shows in this era. Bob literally shouting “You shoot me a look that says LET’S GO”? Brent taking an extended solo during Franklin’s? Boys amped.
Started the car four times today. On starts one and three—one first in the morning, and three after sitting for about four hours in mild weather—it had to try 2-3 full seconds before finally turning over. Normal driving at all speeds and temps once started, and the other two startups fired right up as usual. ‘22 Limited 6MT 37k no mods.
This has happened randomly twice in three years of ownership, but definitely never twice in one day. Ideas?
