Ziggy is one of two adult male cats who appeared at one of my feeding spots a couple of months ago. This feeding spot is outside a huge residential complex where most people don’t feed these cats, and don’t care for them medically. I started with two cats almost three years ago, and slowly, more cats from inside the complex started becoming regulars, and I now have almost nine of them waiting for me patiently every day ❤️ Please note - all the cats, except for Ziggy’s friend, Zack, have all been sterilised and vaccinated by us and are medically attended to, in case of any injury or sickness.

Coming back to Ziggy and why he is a little extra special - Ziggy’s left front paw isn’t developed fully. On asking a few kids in the residential complex and a couple of local vendors, I came to know that he was born this way. Despite his deformity, he is just like any other cat - he runs, climbs up and down, and demands food and pets like all his other friends. As soon as he trusted me enough to take him for his TNR surgery, he was trapped and taken to The Feline Foundation. There, his paw was checked, he was neutered, vaccinated and recovered during his post-operative care, ready to be released back to his original territory!

Animals around us need very little -species-appropriate food, vet-approved medical care, sterilisation, vaccination, and love! If every society took care of the few animals around them, co-existence would be so easy

TNR#119

IVY was released today.

She was supposed to be released on 20th April with TNR#118 Gungun.

But unfortunately, she had licked her wound and had a bad cold.

So, the feline foundation released her today.

I had managed to raise 2k out of 5k.
