Anyone started having allergies/sneezing today?

Today I started feeling an itchy throat and kept noticing lots of people sneezing out in public.

Could this be due to pollen allergic reactions?

Is Gemini just incompetent or am I using it wrong?

I’ve been a member for over a year. And when I come to it for a simple question it gives me the absolute most braindead answer possible.

It honestly makes me angry of how dumb it is when I use the same exact question on Claude or ChatGPT in unison.

What’s going on?

How do luxury hotels source absolutely mind blowing scents and toiletries?

I’m curious how hotels decide to choose their scents and toiletries. For example, Le Labo, Amouage, Byredo etc..

Do these brands offer their products to the hotel? Or does the hotel company/corporation have a designated team of experts to make these decisions?

What’s a fragrance you’ve regret not trying for so long?

I’m a fragrance snob and never entertain any of the many JPG fragrances. Sprayed JPG paradise garden in Sephora and I can’t stop obsessing over it now. Intermittent heavenly whiffs from two sprays on my arm.

Also, Chanel egoiste platinum. The magic starts to shine in the dry down.

Airalo - 0 customer service.

Stuck in Prague with no data all of a sudden. Paid for 10 day unlimited data and it’s only day 3.

After AI support made me do a billion trouble shooting solutions, I asked for human and it said they’ll help me as soon as possible. It’s been 3 hours.

Went on WhatsApp. Same exact process and now left hanging with 0 reply.

Just perfect! Exactly what you need on vacation.

Edit: no helpful articles provided except for setting up the eSIM. Nothing about disruption of service. Not even a notification about technical issues. Just left to hang in the air.

Is it too much to ask reviewers not to critique decades old book with biases of modern social standards?

I can’t count the number of times I read a long post of a popular book only to realize halfway through that the entire critique blasting the book in every way because it had “sexist undertones”.

Why discourage potential readers by your biased opinions without stating the driving force behind your vicious critique is because it doesn’t conform to your beliefs at the beginning instead of embedding it somewhere 200 words down your post.

Totally annoying.

EDIT: This thread got brigaded because the top comment had 16 upvotes 5 seconds within posting. Not a serious subreddit. Whatever. Bye!

After 15 years of working out.

Lateral raises. They changed my entire physique.

Context: I’ve done every routine imaginable, including 5x5 compound lifts for years. I’ve done OHP, military press, Arnolds, DB shoulder press. For some reason I always ignored lateral raises.

A measly 6.2KG cable lateral raises changed my entire physique.

I’m all for encouraging people to train and get into the habit of exercising regularly but goddamnit something about some six months into lifting and obnoxious behavior irks me.

There should be a beginners course to teach people that wearing two sizes down under-armor shirts and flaring your nonexistent Ronnie Coleman lats while slamming weights unreasonably doesn’t in fact make you bigger.

Reason for this post: earlier I was lifting with ANC earphones and this toothpick of a guy slammed the goddamn cables so hard that I felt my eardrums get blown out.

Pointless post, but I had to release the tension so I dont end up doing something I regret next time

I don’t know what I was expecting prior to reading it, but many mentioned it was a rather moving book that left the reader wondering about it for days, months and years.

I didn’t feel anything. A bit disappointed.
