I'd rather not have pulled this card. A redemption card should be exciting, my experience is the definition of 'crestfallen'. And they want my ID for kyc. No thank you. Let's see if they let this post stay up...last one got removed. It's a shame too, I liked the cards previously, was ready to see the gaming aspect play out.
After all the collectors & megas, more than a case of mixed inners, and the recent GameStop blitz, it was finally a solitary mega box from u/YoDooley that yielded the red glory. Great card for gemstone coverage. Gotta keep climbing the ladder...next up, that beautiful sky-blue Aquamarine!
Local GameStop held a trading card event, pretty affluent area. Really thought I'd find another bendy collector out there but none to be found. Mostly kids there for Pokeys & similar. I gave out 15 'dad packs' (half s5/half BTCTC) & got some interest, some guys were semi-familiar, saw some guys checking the cards out later. Figuring that surely some of them will like a shiny Mantle or Mercedes card & catch the fever!
Local Gamestop held a trading card event, high-earning area. Was hoping to find some like-minded fellows but as you could imagine it was mostly Pokekids. Put together 15 'dad packs' (half Currency s5/ half BTCTC) and handed them out. People seemed interested & I scoped a few later checking out the cards. Hopefully got a few Dolla-Bills interested in some top-quality cards!
Closed out the month-long card blitz with a bang! Mail on the left, rips on the right. Went thru 5 GS stores to get the boxes, 5 megas & 20-ish collectors...still kicking myself over leaving 7 on the shelf. Dirty break paid off well. First hand-pulled redemption! Saving the peel for now, see how long that lasts. On the mail side, got some real beauties. Shoutout to u/Always-Watching2319 for letting the sol Zimbabwe go during his big rip & show. Top chase has a new vaulted ceiling!
Went waaaay outside of my comfort zone & picked up a Golden Key pack with the box at Dooley's. I opened the box and had an audible exclamation. I already loved the cards, but now I get why the big dogs are so over-the-top on the product. I had to stand back for a second & look. This is some incredible finery. I'm like a kid in the toy store when mom's not looking, just rolling everything over in my hands. Poster is getting a frame & hang very soon. Appreciate y'all for pushing the product forward, truly next-level.
Stopped in at a nearby Gamestop for Currency cards on sale, decided to look at the clearance. The orange sticker by the price tag or prices ending in .97 are 90% clearance! Decided to hit 2 more on my drive back home. Not counting Funzo ($20) the total cost on the table (besides Currency) was $35+tax! Some for me, some for gifts & some likely for resale.
Found a couple of squish & Minecraft boxes left at their house to tear into tomorrow so we accelerated the rip. After all the flying foil settled, the one that hadn't pulled a #d pulled one, the other hadn't pulled a kpop motion card & pulled one ☺️ And I can't be mad at my results...meta-rare & amethyst from the 3 collectors boxes, tanz & pink topaz from the 2 megas. But results mattered a lot less than the sheer enjoyment of seeing their little eyes light up at cute shiny cards! And they're arranging their card binders, working trades with each other...the future is rainbow-holo bright!
Got the girls into ripping awhile back & stock up on boxes for them when I find a deal. Driving up I realized that I had neglected myself, unless I wanted to dig into their packs (Squishmallows have been hitting!) Local Gamestop had some boxes on the shelf, here we go Buck-hunting! Will update as we rip, I drag it out over the weekend
Helped Inness out with some Craniacs prizms, he helped me out with some beauties. Arrived serendipitously alongside some silver bars, makes for a nice shiny display!
Snagged big Jimothy for the wife at start of show, reaction 🥹 was as expected. I'll be lucky to keep half the grams, all the ladies in the family are Jimothy fans. Pulled the Eevee early & the the N64 card end of show. Maximum play for maximum payoff! Nice lid'l pre-bday evening, randomizer treated me right.
Thanks to all who popped into my whatnot birthday stream, had a lot of fun chatting with y'all & trying to run a show. Hopefully the earthquake moments & general disarray weren't too off-putting. Goodie bags are in the mail. Bottom row are results of party ripping, the rest were arrivals from heavy buying & trading the previous weekend. Y'all made a hell of a mess! 😁 Time got a lid'l tight racing towards dinner so by request, the scratchers are posted in my funky new Ballet wallet wallet...base amounts as expected but scrilla is scrilla & wallets stack so always appreciative!

Started out as just a very nice Mail Day. Got the last MR I needed for the set, first gem Rolex for the PC & another citrine to keep climbing the ladder. Then it was time for the dreaded office cleanup. In one of the boxes from dooley's big show in June I found a brown envelope at the bottom containing the Chup & DSHF (substitution, not on the receipt). I had also misplaced & blanked on the envelope with the amys a couple weeks ago. Blanked so hard that I was trying to work a deal for the amy Banksy on Sunday🤦♂️Luckily, between my 'thriftiness' and trading partner standing on business for card value, that card was not part of the deal. Anyhow, marvel at my beauties & laugh at my foolhardiness.
Couldn't hit at the show, but 2 givvys & bad beat bonus pumped up the pile. Awesome assortment of grams. I had to marvel at the arrowheads for a while, just lovely bits!
All the blue came from the 'magical' 3C show, Oni mask Satoshi rip from yodooley Mega & the rest from the Bay. Great cards, I like the Maple Leaf but I'm not 'crazy' about it 😆 The Satoshi looks sooo good in Imperial, got slackjaw on the pull!
