New Player Witch Hunter Question (Level 60, Elite Difficulty)

Hey everyone,

I’m a level 60 Witch Hunter with about 45 hours played and I just started Elite. I’m absolutely loving the game, but I’ve hit a point where I’m confused about how my build is supposed to come together.

I’m playing a dual-wield Nightblade/Occultist and somehow I’ve naturally fallen into a pierce-focused setup because of the gear I’ve found. The build feels strong right now, but I’m struggling to understand how the Occultist side is supposed to fit into it.

Since Occultist has a lot of acid/poison support, I’ve been trying to transition toward an acid-focused Witch Hunter. The problem is that whenever I replace my pierce gear with gear that has % Acid Damage and flat Acid Damage, my sheet DPS absolutely tanks. I’ll go from around 10k DPS to 4.5k DPS just by swapping gear.

A couple things are confusing me:

-Is Witch Hunter actually meant to transition from pierce into acid later on?
-Am I trying to convert too early?
-Why doesn’t Nidalla’s Hidden Hand seem to increase my acid damage in the character tooltip at all?
-Should I be focusing on specific skills to make acid work before replacing my pierce gear?
-Is Blood of Dreeg mainly just a buff/heal for dual-wield Witch Hunters, or am I missing something important?

My goal is to make my own build rather than follow a guide, but right now it feels like every attempt to move toward acid makes the character weaker.
How does an acid dual-wield Witch Hunter usually make the transition without destroying its damage output?

Thanks!

Artic Steel Series Earbuds dongle with Anker 6-in-1 USB-C hub?

Hey guys. I just wanted some input. Would this combination work for playing the steam deck in hand held mode with the headphones I’m showing? I’ve heard complaints about how the blue tooth for artic steel series earbuds has issues when not using the dongle and that people generally still want to charge their steam deck and play. I’m one of those people. Many also still recommend them but out of the complaints I’ve seen, do you think I have found a somewhat good solution for the problem? Using the shown Anker hub as a charging port and using the data usb-c for the dongle for that sweet 2.4 ghz low latency connection?

Hey. Just like the question says. I have always found it difficult to get into what all my friends are playing now. I don’t play sports games anymore because they are boring to me and every fps is essentially the same game. Not to say they are bad (I do like me some doom the dark ages and borderlands). But being a married 33 yr old father with a kid and a full time career I like to hunt and it seems like those that I know younger or older than me are playing all this live service crap.

Now don’t get me wrong. I love me some poe2 and even Diablo 4, but I have no one to hunt with. Back when mh worlds came out, I had a bunch of buddies that would just jump on and we would hunt for hours. I have pretty much solod mh rise and can’t even finish wilds due to me still trying to grind out worlds.

Is there anyone who runs into this same dilemma? Game is fun as hell yet it feels like people would rather play whatever this months hotness is.
