Honest question: Why pay for Instantly when you can just build a quick script in half a day?

I’m looking into cold outreach setups right now and trying to understand why everyone pays monthly subscriptions for tools like Instantly.
Why not just buy 3 or 4 domains, set up 20–30 inboxes, and write a simple Python/CLI script with AI to send the emails with random time delays?
Am I oversimplifying this, or is there a massive catch I’m missing?
Is the real value just the warmup pool and deliverability management, or are people mostly paying for the convenience of not having to touch a terminal?
Would love to hear from anyone who has actually tried building their own setup vs. paying for a platform. Am I walking into a deliverability trap?
