Frustrated and wanting to protest

Had a joyous morning on the streetcar today, my usual 25 minute commute became almost two hours. To top it all off, they had the audacity to station the POO at the end of the line to check proof of purchase.

I always pay my fare, even though the TTC rarely delivers the service they promise. I had half a mind to refuse to present, take the ticket, and the produce the proof of payment to the prosecutor at the last minute to really waste their time, and money, as they so often do for their customers.

(This is of course a joke, but seriously how is the 512 still so bad)

No questions asked

Evening! I was driving back into Canada this evening, I had items to declare, scanned my nexus on the reader (in the regular line) the officer hit me with the wave to go on, and said “you’re all good, have a good night” I tried to mention I had items to declare and he interrupted me and said “long line, busy day, keep it moving” - I’m assuming this means I’m… good? Like did I do enough to have attempted to declare?

Hey! I’m getting married later this year and I’m starting to look into the possibility of additional coverages. We already have the mandatory event liability insurance for our venue and reception but I’m considering additional coverages thanks to a few factors:

  1. Our wedding is a destination wedding, we reside in Ontario but the event is taking place in Manitoba

  2. We have a lot of guests coming from overseas

  3. We’ll be transporting valuables with us by common carrier (jewelry, dress, suit etc)

I’ve been looking around but not sure how to get coverage for things like airline cancellations, guests being unable to travel for the same reason (and us consequently missing our minimum guest quota with the venue and incurring the fees associated) and loss or damage of our valuables.

I think our home policy likely covers the loss or damage issue, but the other two leave me stumped.

Can anyone advise on a policy type to cover these risks? Cheers!
