I am going to say this as a diehard Carolina Hurricanes fan. Man does it feel awesome to have a good team again. We finally got rid of the dead weight that is our piece of crap owner Peter Karmanos. Our new owner, Tom Dundon, is very promising and seems to do a lot of good for both the team and our community both here in Raleigh and all over North Carolina, especially for growing the game of hockey.

But I have to say this, and I said this on the 10 year anniversary of our cup win. The Edmonton Oilers are the most arrogant, snivelling, obnoxious, rude, unlikable, and downright disrespectful team in NHL history. This team’s fan base can’t get over the fact that we beat them for the 2006 Stanley Cup, saying “oh Carolina only won because our goalie got hurt” and saying we didn’t deserve McDavid because we beat them for the cup. Well, this team and their obnoxious and arrogant fan base are a bunch of losers.

This team is an utter disgrace to hockey. They only got McDavid because they were the joke of the league for 10 years and tanked for most of that decade because they were an incompetent joke. They lucked into four #1 overall draft picks, trading their first one, because their front office was dumb, their third one, Yakupov, was a massive bust and a pathetic excuse of a hockey player, and the league essentially rigged the draft to get McDavid and we had to settle for Noah Hanifin. Not to mention, they got lucky with drafting Leon Draisaitl because Florida and Buffalo were idiots.

And their fan base keeps talking about the glory days of the 1980’s because that’s the only thing they can hold on to, since we embarrassed them in Game 7 back in 06. They got lucky with getting Gretzky, because Winnipeg were idiots as well. But also, they hang up a banner honouring their 1985 team because of an online fan poll saying they’re the greatest NHL team ever, when that honour belongs to the 2005-06 Hurricanes.

THAT DYNASTY HAS AN ASTERISK!!!!!

This team could’ve been better off relocating to Houston. Matter of fact, this team should fold or relocate out of Edmonton because the Oilers are a disgrace to the NHL.

P.S. the city of Edmonton is the most overrated town in North America

This is what one guy on the Oilers sub had to say the other night which caught my eye.

That first line and that tone is insulting and should give Caniacs pause. Somehow because attendance is in decline due to a stagnant product, the team deserves nothing. Should any fan think this about any team?
