Took us a year to get prepaid from 30% to 60%, sharing how

A year ago we were at like 30% prepaid and the cod orders were killing our cash flow. now we're around 60%. took a year of messing with it, no single trick, but since everyone here just says "give a discount" i'll share what did it for us.

honestly the biggest thing was just making prepaid the default instead of cod, and making checkout faster. when checkout was slow people picked cod to get it over with. fixed that and a chunk shifted on its own.

discounts barely moved anything. what worked better was a small surprise gift on prepaid, felt like a reward instead of training people to wait for a sale. and partial cod for the ones who still wouldn't pay full upfront.

we tried going prepaid-only once and conversion tanked, so wouldn't recommend that. and weirdly our aov went up a bit too, prepaid buyers seemed more open to adding something at checkout.

happy to get into any of it.

Today I chose to be patient with myself instead of chasing perfection

Lately, I've been trying to stop expecting perfection from myself. I used to feel like every mistake meant I wasn't doing enough, but I'm realizing that's not true.

Today, I consciously chose to be patient with myself. I reminded myself that learning takes time, and making mistakes doesn't erase the progress I've already made. It felt surprisingly comforting to let go of the pressure, even just for a little while.

I'm hoping that if I keep choosing patience over perfection, it'll become a habit instead of something I have to remind myself to do.

Third-party checkout vs default shopify checkout in india, is it actually worth it?

we're on default shopify checkout, works fine, but i keep seeing indian d2c brands move to third party ones (gokwik, flexype, shopflo etc).

trying to work out if it's actually worth switching or just hype. the pitch is always higher conversion, prepaid nudges, partial cod, rto reduction, custom ui. but default shopify is reliable and we don't pay per order for it.

for anyone who's switched: did conversion actually go up or was it marginal? was the rto and prepaid improvement real? what's it actually cost? any downsides, checkout breaking, payment failures, losing shop pay?

basically is this a real revenue lever or just another saas subscription that looks great in a demo.

Fun game to play while alone

I've played demonology, animal hospital, dress to impress, prism runway, ball blade, cook and sell. And many more but they all ended being too repetitive for me
