Liminal spaces (Franklin Mills mall edition)

Went to the Franklin Mills mall today and took these photos. I also have a video of a lone flickering light inside of an abandoned Forever 21. There was a gigantic blue banner on the outside that said something like "Let's shop together forever". It was kinda sad and really ironic. Auntie Anne's still slapped though.

Success! Update to (27F) Anyone (25-30) want to go to Science History Institute with me?

Was able to get a small group together (4 people) and had a wonderful time! We started at the museum and then went to get a bite to eat. I feel like everyone thawed out once we went to get food (literally and metaphorically, the museum was quite cold lol). Learned a lot about everyone and (unsurprisingly) had a lot in common. Thank you all who expressed interest and those who took the trek out to see me! Signing off before the bibimbap coma hits lol

(27F) Anyone (25-30) want to go to Science History Institute with me?

Trying something new! It's a free museum on 315 Chestnut and I'd love to go but it would be nicer to go with someone who isn't bored to tears by museums and maybe we could have a fun convo about the stuff we see + other things! I'm 27 F, black, I work in healthcare (pre-PA). I interested in botany, zooology, speculative biology, art, and animation. I also have some "unconventional" interests. I like internet horror, vocaloid, and anime. I recently bought a playstation portable to relive playing childhood games + discover new ones. Open to a small group (can be coed) if a few are interested. If only one person, than I prefer it be a lady please :'0

How old is this squab? (Tips for hand rearing baby pigeon needed!)

While walking home in the city I stumbled upon this squab just walking on the sidewalk and crying loudly. When I approached it, it scurried behind this alley blocked by a gate. It stayed fairly close to the entrance seemed reluctant to move back further away from me. When I looked through the gate behind it, I saw one of it's siblings lying on the ground and scattered nest material. It seems the nest was attacked or disturbed in some way. I decided to take it with me since there's only one rehab center for the entire city and they're swamped. I've created a pretty comfortable situation for it and it seems content and calm but I want to give it the best possible chance, so:

  1. About how old does this squab look?

  2. It seems to enjoy egg yolk mixed with turkey starter pellets but what else can I give it? Is that enough?

  3. Since its sibling isn't here, how can I give it enrichment so that it doesn't grow lonely/depressed/bored, etc. What's the ideal environment look like aside from being warm?

  4. When can I let this little buddy go?

Any tips are appreciated :)

Accidentally no-call, no-showed. Am I screwed?

I work as a PCT at a hospital and signed up for a bonus shift. It wasn't part of my normal schedule, but I took it to make a little extra money. I signed up for it about a week in advance but I (stupidly) didn't swap my schedules and ended up referencing the old one where I wasn't on for that day. The shift completely slipped my mind and I didn't come in at all. I actually didn't remember it all until I checked my emails during my shift today and saw an email from the assistant manager addressing my absence. It was at that moment that I remembered and freaked out. She saw me earlier that day but said nothing to me. Just how badly did I screw up?
