If I were 16, I could tell you I like you. If I were 26, I could say out loud how much I love you. But I’m just a little fish. All I can do is blow bubbles at you.🫧🫧🫧

I think I painted a little rainbowfish, but I’m not totally sure about the species...

My latest tiny watercolor was inspired by a neon tetra. What's your favorite aquarium fish?

I've always loved how neon tetras seem to glow when the light catches them. That little flash of blue and red is what inspired this tiny watercolor.

I tried to keep it simple and let the shimmering pigments do the work, almost like the colors you see when the fish suddenly turns in the water.

I'm already thinking about what to paint next, so I'm curious—what's your favorite fish in your tank? I'd love to discover some species I've never seen before.

Would you commission your pet in this style?

I've been thinking about trying custom pet portraits in my tiny iridescent watercolor style. I love painting colorful little creatures, and now I'm wondering how that style would translate to people's pets.

If you had the chance, what pet would you have painted? Cat? Dog? Bird? Gecko? Fish? I'd love to hear what everyone has at home! 🐾✨

The tiny fish that made me fall in love with freshwater aquariums. 🐟✨

I've always thought neon tetras were one of the most beautiful freshwater fish. They're tiny and peaceful, but when aquarium lights hit their iridescent blue stripe, they almost seem to glow. That flash of blue has fascinated me ever since I first saw a school of them swimming together.

I wanted to capture that same shimmering effect with iridescent watercolor, so I painted a small series inspired by neon tetras and turned them into miniature fridge magnets using vintage-style slide mounts. The colors change a little depending on how the light hits them, just like the real fish.

If you could choose another freshwater fish for me to paint next, which species would you pick?

I still haven't outgrown my unicorn phase 🦄

I just feel like that I should give her a name. Any suggestions?

The Glitter Specimen Series: Fish No. 1–8

I've been making more and more of these little glitter specimens lately. Would anyone be interested in collecting something like this if I keep expanding the series?
