Powerlife Limited Warranty on powertrain

When I bought my 2026 Sport L Hybrid in Aug 2025, the dealer offered, for free, Powerlife Limited Warranty for powertrain. I'm happy to have it, and hope never use it.

They are obviously strict about maintenance, and also require a 30,000 mile inspection (no charge).

Just curious if anyone has experience using the Powerlife Limited Warranty and how it went?

(this is NOT meant to continue head gasket conversations 😊)

Theft rates for 2026/2027 Sportage Hybrid?

Continuing my pre-purchase research on a 2026/2027 Sportage Hybrid (basically the same car).

I searched on the topic of vehicle theft rates and results only provide a top 10 lists. Happy to see the Sportage is not in the top 10, and ChatGPT says (FWIW) "2026 Kia Sportage Hybrid appears to have a relatively low theft rate compared with the vehicles that have been heavily targeted in recent years."

I'm new to the Kia Sportage Hybrid, so what have you read/heard/experienced regarding theft (car, wheels, etc..) If ChatGPT is correct, then that's a good sign, if accurate. I would probably invest in McGard or Gorilla locking lug nuts for the wheels to at least make it more difficult.

I don't live in a high crime area, however over the last two months, a few cars have been stolen close to my house, which is unusual. The Sportage would be parked in my driveway.

Gray interior for Hybrid SX Prestige. Anyone?

I'm looking at a car with Gravity Gray exterior and gray interior. I'm older, no kids, but still concerned about dirt or smudges easily showing on this lighter interior.

If you have this color interior, what has been your experience with dirt/smudges?

Question on Tire Repair Kit Recall

I have a '26 Sport L and my VIN has a recall on this. I'll be making an appointment with the dealer, but should I have received a notification from Honda? Haven't received any yet.

Adaptive cruise control sees hill as a truck?

2026 Sport L Hybrid with adaptive cruise set to 2 of 4.

I was driving downhill on a rural two lane road with the cruise set to the speed limit of 40 mph. No cars in front of me at all, and an oncoming car coming downhill was quite a ways off. As I reached the bottom of the hill, and started uphill, my car suddenly slowed waaaay down. I looked at the display and it had a picture of a tractor trailer. So it thought there was a slow and very large truck in front of me.

It appears it interpreted the uphill road as the truck. This ever happen to anyone?

Ghostly experience.

Is grass discharge shoot needed if mulch kit installed?

I have the mulching kit installed. Is there a reason for needing the grass discharge chute attached with that? I know it says "Do Not Remove" but assume that means, don't leave this thing wide open. I'm thinking safety in the event something blows through the plastic mulch cover there's another level of protection. Certainly a good reason. Just looking for thoughts on that.

EDIT: Thanks for all the comments on the chute. All set.

D105 stuck in reverse

10 year old D105. Was cutting the lawn and at one point it would not come out of reverse. Shifter would not budge. Cleaned out a bunch of debris from that area but didn't fix it. I found that if I pull back on the forward pedal it frees up the shifter. Is there an adjustment somewhere? Thanks.

I had to replace the blade brakes on my 10 year old D105. I noticed that where the blade engagement spring attaches to the idler arm, the hole for the spring has become elongated. Replace the arm soon? Think I can get through this summer?

D105 Equipment rod found in grass while mowing

Hey all. Changed over my D105 from bagging to mulching and cut the lawn. Found the equipment rod in the grass and appears to be undamaged. Before I remove the deck, any thoughts as to why it would just fall out/off? Thanks!

I'll be getting my first social security benefit in May, and of course they'll be taking Medicare payments from that. I'll be getting reimbursement for the Medicare payments from an HSA and therefore need a statement or receipt to submit to HSA.

Will I find the statement/receipt of payment on ssa.gov or medicare.gov? Just trying to plan ahead. Thanks!

I have only the basic use of the HondaLink app, which honestly, I rarely look at. Trying to determine if Data Sharing is really worth having enabled.

If data sharing is disabled and the car is stolen, can Honda track the car's location? Actually not even sure car tracking is available with basic.
