Browser Audit is it a real indicator of browser vulnerabilities?

The browseraudit.com website says it checks your browser for vulnerabilities in scripts, processes, etc.

How well does it actually check?

First photo is Chrome 151.

Second photo is Samsung browser with the Blink 143 engine.

Chromiumchecker.com lists over 1500 known vulnerabilities between 151 and 143.

Adguard VPN Auto connect feature

It would be great to see a VPN Auto connect feature for untrusted networks. Like most other VPN apps have.

Or auto disconnect on trusted networks. Either way.

Maybe an auto connect to fastest location feature too. The VPN requires too much interaction.

It's too hard to create custom filters

When using Adguard on Android, it's just so hard to create a custom filter. The assistant log is useless. I have no idea what allowed item is causing an element on a web page to show. I like using Chrome, but if a site has a weird pop-up or annoyance I want to block, I have to send the website from Chrome to Brave and use the remove elements option and then copy the rule into Adguard to even have the slightest idea.

Like for example, the assistant is useless in determining that the stupid next article button that takes up half the side of my screen is this

www.androidcentral.com###click-to-next-forward

How am I supposed to know this without the help from yet another outside app?

I'm just venting that I was hoping they'd create an element picker or rule creator in the built in browser so that if I find something I need to block I can just open it in the built in browser real quick, select it, and it automatically creates a user rule and saves it in the Adguard user rules list.

Gemini in Chrome Missing/Android

So, my Chrome app on Android had the Gemini in Chrome button on the toolbar, and in the settings. Updated to 151.0.7922.137 today on my S25 Ultra and it's gone. Again. Not sure why this is happens. I have my locale set to US, English US, and am over 18. My device can support it. I'm not sure why they keep adding and taking away features. I also haven't had the bottom toolbar pop up yet. I don't mind either. I just want my browser to not keep losing features once it has them. If I install the Chrome Beta, it's all back. WTF is happening? I'm not a dumb user, I've tried the GLIC flags, and it all just keeps reverting to no Gemini, no toolbar. I even had the toolbar with the Gemini button a few updates ago.

Address bar color glitch

Has anyone else noticed this?

Chrome 150.0.7871.186

Android 16, S25 Ultra

Only does it with this particular color of grey when the omnibox matches the website. With other colors it acts as expected.

If it's a known problem is there a solution?

How's this possible?

Samsung S25 Ultra.

Been a while since a reboot. Just swiped away open apps.

Fresh opening of both browsers. Ublock Origin on both with copied settings. Single tab open on each.

27.9 Firefox 153

19.7 Edge 150

I used to be able to get Edge scores into the low 30s, but recently it struggles to get to mid 20s.

Site Incompatibility Frequency

Currently using Edge with most telemetry disabled, standard privacy without 3rd party cookies and uBol for Ad blocking on Android and Windows. I recently tried to play around with Firefox and found the page loading and interaction performance to be the same, if not better than Edge in certain circumstances.

I'm considering a full time switch to Firefox with Ublock, but my main hold back is the rendering engine.

With that being said, how often do you run into sites that just will not work? I'm pretty particular and typically hate duplication of products on my phones and PC, can I get away with ONLY Firefox and never have to use a Chromium browser, or is it just not possible?

Making user filters Android

Other than trial and error, what's the easiest way to create a custom rule in Android with the Adguard app, not DNS or VPN but the ad blocking app?

I know you can use the assistant but if a site is blocking something I'd like to see, or I need to block something I'm seeing, quite honestly all I see is random white and red elements being blocked or allowed and I have no idea what they are, or what belongs to a specific element I'd like to fix either way.

I've tried some AI requests through Gemini and Copilot but the filters they provide just don't work.

For example, on the website www.petsmart.com on Mobile, if I load an item the objects in the middle don't load when using Chrome with https filtering

However if I use Edge on Android with ubol complete filtering they show up.

The link below gives example. https://imgur.com/a/AMqKeS8

Do you use HTTPS filtering?

Specifically on Android devices using Chrome?

How does it perform for you?

I love the Adguard app and capabilities, but find myself reluctant to be reliant on a whole 3rd party to block ads in a browser, when there are several that include native ad blocking.

Emotion and browser selection

Simple question, why is choosing, using, customizing, and pretty much anything to do with a browser such an emotional decision? I'm not sure if it's just me and it's manifestation of an unknown area of stress I have in my life, or what exactly.

I have been through so many trying, customizing, finding the right combination of features and abilities and can't come to a reasonable decision. Something about everything bothers me. I can't place my finger on it, but I don't think I'm alone in this.

Chrome with Android Adguard/Windows UBOL, or Brave/Edge/Vivaldi and others with built in ad blocking and other personal quirks

I'm just interested in a logical discussion, I have a pet peeve with each of the browsers above in some way or another, for example,

Chrome-Snackbar stays on forever on Android with an accessibility service on.

Edge-Android version stutters on scrolling home screen, omnibox and toolbar don't match system theme settings and have no color matching options for the omnibox like Chrome, Vivaldi, and Brave do. Some websites I use bitch about the browser being out of date.

Brave-the icon makes me sick. I can't explain why it's just very off-putting in everyway to me. The sync is weird and sort of unpredictable.

Vivaldi-Has a weird keyboard glitch that causes my keyboard to have some sort of graphical flutter when clicking the omnibox on Android.

However, all of the above browsers have their benefits.

Chrome is fast, privacy aside, and with Adguard and installing the CA cert for Android does cosmetic filtering and works fantastic.

Edge has MV2, and extensions on Android and even a halfassed decent built in ad block, cosmetic filtering works well and it's fast.

Brave and Vivaldi are both super customizable and have good built in ad blocking.

I've tried Samsung Browser, and quite frankly I love the interface, coloring, page loading, ad blocking, and sync, but can't get beyond the fact they are using the blink 143 engine and SO MANY WEBSITES BITCH ABOUT THE BROWSER BEING OUT OF DATE-SAMSUNG GET THIS THROUGH YOUR DEV HEADS.

I don't worry about the privacy issues, I carry a phone with me everywhere and as far as I'm concerned, everything is tracking me. I guess I'm petty and want my entire system to match. I don't mind AI add ons, I don't do crypto, and I don't care about management politics, but do want to make sure I am using a product that is being made and owned in a country that is playing well with the rest of the world, if that makes sense.

Does anyone really use Chrome with Android adguard and CA cert to block ads, Edge, Brave, etc, and tell me what you use and how it could relate to my particular usage. I am staying with Chromium based browsers, I have tried Firefox on my phone, S25 Ultra and am unimpressed with the rendering times.

Brave Sync Questions

How does Brave sync work compared to Edge, Chrome, Vivaldi? I understand it makes a "sync chain". But is it server side? Do I need to have an active browser open to sync? Am I going to be disappointed going from Edge multi device sync to Brave?

Soft holster, pocket, belt clip like Otterbox, Pelican, Encased?

I have been using this same Encased brand holster since the S21 Ultra with various cases that happen to fit. Currently my S25U is in a UAG Essential Armor case.
