Ryanair cabin bag 1cm over - how strict are they at Manchester/Beauvais?

I’m flying to Paris tomorrow with Ryanair from Manchester Airport to Paris Beauvais, and I’m a bit worried about my cabin suitcase. I have the Tripp Retro Black Cabin Suitcase, which is 55 × 37 × 21cm. Ryanair’s Priority cabin bag allowance is 55 × 40 × 20cm, so mine is technically 1cm over on the depth. It’s a hard-shell case, so obviously I can’t really squash it down that extra 1cm.

For anyone who has flown Ryanair recently:
How strict are they about a suitcase being 1cm over?
Do they actually measure/check every Priority cabin bag, or only some?
What are Manchester Airport and Paris Beauvais like specifically?
Is it likely they’d make me put it in the sizer/check it into the hold, or am I overthinking the 1cm?

I’ve never flown Ryanair before, so any recent experiences would be really appreciated!

Thinking about getting the Fuji X Half and wanted to see how it looks without the grain.

If anyone has scenic shots (landscapes, nature), would love to see! Just trying to get a feel for detail and how “clean” it can look.

Thanks all!

I’m going in circles trying to decide what to do and would really appreciate some advice!! I just bought a Fujifilm X100V for about £1.2k. I like the size, and film simulations. however I honestly only travel maybe once or twice a year, and that’s basically the only time I use a camera. it feels a bit ridiculous having £1.2k tied up in something I barely use!! it’s probably worth mentioning im a beginner, but i’ve wanted a fujifilm for years.

Is there a Fujifilm setup that is:
- noticeably cheaper (not just £100 less)
- still has modern film sims (Classic Neg etc.)
- reasonably compact (not bulky with big lenses)
- still feels like a proper camera

Or should I just keep the X100V and stop overthinking it? i’ve looked into the X100F but not sure how i feel about that as there’s no classic negative! i also looked into the xm5 however the 15-45 is super bulky, and if i get a pancake lens it ends up being the same price as the x100V. I also looked into the x100 half but it’s too grainy and blurry.

thanks all!!
