Any metro Vancouver drivers in here ? I have a daily commute over 50 km from east Coquitlam to south Burnaby. I’m looking to buy either a 2027 Prius plug in SE or the XLE AWD Prius.

I’m looking for specific feedback on anyone commuting in a colder climate with the Prius plug in , do you wish you had AWD ?
I’m driving a 2008 Yaris outfitted with steel wheels and Blizzak WS 90 . I would put winters on steel wheels on either Prius I buy .
I have test driven both models back to back, I preferred the plug in to drive the AWD was noisy, louder than my wife’s 2020 Corolla LE ! The plug in was much quieter and i enjoyed the driving experience better I felt I was in a premium car.
The AWD felt like any other Toyota Corolla !
I can plug in overnight , not sure if real world results I will get better gas mileage with the plug in ! I do a few trips a year up to the interior.
I don’t want to regret buying one over the other.

Traveling from Vancouver to Montreal for a week in early October

Wife and I mid 50’s looking to stay close to old Montreal, looking for a budget hotel , seeing terrible reviews for LeLux . I’m a bit of a budget but willing to spend a bit more , we will only be using the hotel to sleep , we aren’t fussy . The other place I was looking at was Traveling Lodge Hotel by Wyndham Montreal centre, any suggestions. Also my French is terrible although I did take 3 years in high school .
