Can lifetime employees see the reason why you cancelled your membership? For example cancelling due to money not paid vs cancelling through the app
I’ll try to make this short. A couple of years ago my mom had me take out a mortgage for a house using UIF “halal financing”, but the thing is from the very beginning it never made out right sense to me how this was different from riba. My payments go to a bank, my letters from the bank outright say “interest paid $xxxx. This causes me to really worry because I know how much of a sin riba is. When this process was going on I was only 24 and afraid of upsetting my mom and the pressure from family felt like a lot. And everyone kept saying “even the local sheiks here use it, it’s halal you just don’t understand”.
With this post I’m honestly just wondering if anyone has felt the same and what they did to get away from it. At this point I’m considering transferring the loan to my mom or other siblings who don’t share the same opinion as me. I don’t want them to get sins from this but at the same time idk what else to do

How/ when do MAPE employees get salary increases? Do they go up a step each year? I’m new to the union and work an IT role with the state.
Hi I work near the state capitol and that trail came up as the route for me to take. However, I want to know how secluded this trail is? I am someone who usually fears secluded and/or empty trails and would love to know this information in advance

Almost two months into my job as an IT state worker and I love the people/ the work life balance. In the corporate world it was quite normal to just be “casually” working all hours and then randomly some days/weeks you’ll find yourself more free than normal.
My only struggle so far with the state is I feel you guys actually stay “seated” for the entire 8 hour shift. In corporate I was use to a little more flexibility (when there wasn’t any production issues lol). For example it was completely fine to be gone for about 2 hours if you didn’t have any meetings and then simply make up the hours later. Over here I feel that is not normal? I suffer from adhd so I find myself struggling sometimes. How do you guys combat this?
